- Mike replies to Fraud Squadin fact it seems you are the one scamming other people. Similar posts from other names saying "shill" etc. You are absolutley incorrect. Looks like you went through each one and did this. I wonder who is the crook here. you or these guys? Maybe you are just severely misinformed.
- FraudThis is a scam. They claimed to be from PNC and started asking me too many questions. I didn't give them the information. I called PNC back the next day (at a number I know is legit) and PNC confirmed it was a scam.
- Jen| 1 replyThis is legit. I got an email and a phone call asking me to call this number and was told that my card was compromised and they needed to issue a new one. Immediately after speaking to the man at that number, I called the number on my card and PNC confirmed that it was a legitimate situation.

- Fraud SquadPart of a fraud campaign targeting numerous financial institutions. Note the pattern of shill postings all claiming the number is real - an obvious giveaway.
The large number of phony posts claiming the call is real come from some con artists spamming the site to try to fool people. There is a similar pattern to other fake calls claiming to be from Chase, Citibank, Bank of America, US Bank, Wells Fargo, RBC, PayPal, etc. all with the same shill postings:

- Scott C.| 1 replyI was suspicious about this number, so I ended up calling the number on the back of my card instead. Turns out it was legit, and the fraud department really was trying to contact me.
I'm not sure why so many people are adamant that this is a scam, but if you're really not sure, just call the number on the back of your card. Better safe than sorry.- Caller: PNC Bank
- Brian replies to Scott C.Yup, this is 100% legit. I called 888-PNC-Bank and they confirmed that 888-347-7806 is their Fraud Prevention group & they did prevent fraudulent activity on my card!
- Mr RThis is legit from PNC Bank. I didn't call it though.. I just called PNC Bank's main number and told them I got an alert with this number. They said they were trying to get in contact with me.. So if you're still worried just call the main number like I did.

- RonyI got the letter from PNC siting fradulent activity on my account fand I called. It appeared legit. They asked me for last 4 digits of my social and date of birth to verify.
- Jodi replies to JenThe same thing happened to me but they refused to tell me anything about the unauthorized transaction??? I think I have a right to know if someone got my card number and tried to buy a vacation for $3,000.
- VivianIt's a legit call. I just call the number on the back of my PNC credit card. The representative said that according to their records, my credit card had just been closed by their fraud protection department. I will receive a new card within 7-10 business days.
- Caller: PNC
- JohnDoeAll of these fake people saying this number is legit most likely work for the scammers. I received a call a while back like this and fell for their trap, they claimed they were gonna send me a new card but shortly after I called PNC and they confirmed it was a scam. I just got the same call today so I was already aware of it...
