They gave you the name of the company which is Structured Settlements not structure settlement, and then you filed the claim with the FTC which does not take debt collection complaints so you must have lied to the FTC about to call?

I just got that same exact call. Going to call my bank and tell them I did not authorize any automatic withdrawal from these people. Don't think I need to worry about it as the shouldn't have any banking info, but, I trust no one today.

Got a call I did not recognize. I don’t answer those, so they. The guys name is Lorenzo -  left a message stating they were calling regarding a collection sccount that will negatively impact my credit. Call them to avoid this.AND THEN THEY CALLED MY HUSBAND AT WORK LOOKING FOR ME AND REPATED THE SAME MESSAGE!!
What debt? What collection?? Why in the hell are you calling my husband (they did say they would remove his number)  heck no I’m not calling you back.  Especially after reading all of these responses on here..

Exactly I called back too and they told me about 2 loans I had that went to collections years ago. I thought they were a scam for sure by their aggressive manner and voicemails, even after calling they were very rude and aggressive. It made me not trust having to pay them. I still haven’t and almost feel safer letting them take me to court just to expose them to the courts on what they are doing to people in attempt to collect very small debts. At least I know they’re real by going to court with them. But at the same time I don’t want my wages garnished but I’d say they aren’t a scam, but they are sketchy as all sketchy if you ask me.

Also, I asked for validation letter of the debt. They emailed it to me. On that letter they give their company address. I still had no “proof” this company was legit enough to send money to so I google the address in hopes I’d find a business or just something to ease my mind as they were spot on about the loan amounts/loan account numbers but no actual business proof. Well their address is a US post office drop box. So if that didn’t make things worse 😭I’m going to try calling the original creditor and just pay that way.

I received 3 back to back calls today from 3 different numbers labeled as "Telemarketing" on caller ID. The 3rd time, someone with no name left a voicemail saying it's an attempt to collect a debt and to call the number 888.585.2112. I deleted the voicemail because if you don't identify yourself I'm not calling any numbers back. I immediately received a call on my work number at my desk from yet a different phone number. No caller id. A different person left me a voicemail on my work phone. I did finally end up calling the 888 number back and I got someone who took my phone number, would not identify themselves, but told me that they were trying to collect a debt from 2009! I asked him to send me a letter to try and validate the debt and I'll research it myself. I told him that the point of me calling back was to make sure that my work number is removed. I cannot receive personal calls at work. If a debt collector participates in practices that threaten your work, your livelihood, you are absolutely allowed to bring a lawsuit. I tried to explain this to the man who continued to talk over me and said that he is allowed to call my work number to verify employment. How can you verify employment in 2024, a job that I've only had for 3 years, and say that it's tied to a debt from 2009. I told him that this is the second request in the same phone call with him to remove my work number immediately from their call logs. He told me that he can make the request to remove it but they are going to continue to call my work number whether they remove it or not. What?! I explained to him that he is about to get his company sued. And apparently this won't be the first time that this company is sued for very shady collection practices. Do not call me 3 times in a row and do not call my work line ever! This is an attempt to scam on a Zombie Debt (look up that term).

Texas Civil Practice and Remedies Code 16.004 has specified that the statute of limitations on an old debt that has been bought is only 4 years! You're on notice now.

Got a call from this number from a Samantha from structure settlement in regards of an automatic withdrawal that was authorized on my checking account (which I never did). They want to verify some information for security purposes to make sure I was the person who authorized this transaction

Got a voice message call 20 mins ago from William at Structured Settlement calling on behalf of a client to go over the details about a debt I owe. Requesting I call back at 888-585-2112. The phone number listed on my phone caller ID was 785-347-7854.
Structured Settlement callers have left several voice messages over the last month. I owe nothing to anyone. This appears to be a scam.

I got a call from a Joseph Fox saying that a file was given to him and he wanted me to contact him before they proceed and all info will be used to collect this debt..I am not aware of any debt that I owe.

Received a call and vmail from James at Structured Settlements today , same as everyone else has received.

This number just called me, said his name was Joseph Fox. The number he called from was a local number (prob so I would answer, but didn’t.) Here is the exact message (thanks to transcription from iPhone!):

“Yes, hello this is Joseph Fox calling from structured settlement. I'm trying to contact you in regards to a file in Florida to my office that does require your immediate attention before decision is rented on your behalf back to my client as to how to proceed I would like to give you an opportunity to address this matter yourself. Please contact me back. My number. Here is 888. 585-2112. I do look forward to speaking with you and hope to hear from you soon. Please be advised this is an attempt to collect a debt in any information obtained will be used for that purpose…”

John king called and was rude. They are taking 200 out of my account

He called me and said the same about a bounced check. I told him I don’t have a bank account and then he said it was for a very small loan ($250) that I took out over two years ago but I still have never had checks. He was incredibly rude. He told me that I was going to jail if I didn’t pay $500 today. He said there’s consequences for writing a bad check and again I told him I have never had a check to write a bad check. Did anything ever happen with yours? His name was also John King and he knew everything about me including my maiden name, my first married name, and my new married name. He even somehow got my Dads number and started calling him too.

I only have a car loan that Im still paying on time. I also check my credit on CreditKarma with no negative reports. Somehow I got a call of my supposed debt. The caller called me using a local number. And this is the transcipt I got from him.

"Hi, this is Lorenzo calling from structured settlement. I'm calling in about an account that you have in collections in our office that can negatively affect your credit. Please give me a call as soon as you can to avoid this. You can call me at 1-888-585-2112. This is an attempt to collect that and any information. Can be used for that purpose again. Give me a call at 888-585-2112. Thank you."

This is a total scam, identity theft operation.  The business addresses they provided are a ups store and marijuana dispensary in henderson nv.  Reported today to fbi, dhs hotlines and henderson police.   They were aware and are actively investigating.

I received a call and here is the message they left.

Needless to say, I have not received any NSF call or letter from the financial institution, and that’s because I haven’t ever have an NSF.

The scams and fraudulent calls and emails that are happening is very concerning and downright disgustingly scary, that this issue has not gotten better over the years, it’s only gotten worse.

The different Departments within the Federal Government, as well as State Government Agencies are not working with the correct Private Companies to eradicate this problem once and for all.

This is happened to people from every walk of life, and it’s happening to our Senior Citizens as well as the young. Enough is Enough.

Called identified as "Samantha" and said a withdrawal from my account has been authorized and said she was calling to verify that I had authorized the payment of a debt. In my case, I have no outstanding debts, especially any debt I would not be aware of.
