This was actually "Structured Settlement"

got a call from a number the same area code as my phone. left a message stating they are calling to verify bank information for a withdraw on my checking account. Her name was Samantha, left the 888 number to call her back.

Same scammer, same number, female voice left a unprofessional voicemail as follows
" a payment was made  with your checking account and I want to confirm it was you making the payment ..."

Claiming to be Amazon Prime and wanted to make sure the $492.00 charge was really mine. Ha ha I don’t have an Amazon Prime account!!!!

This just happened to me but he wanted a Joseph King. Idk anyone by that name at all. He said that Joseph gave him my name and number. He was very rude and refused to tell me the name of the company or anything else. I turned it over to the police and my lawyer.

Just received a call, as it seems like everyone else - someone from Structured Settlement is attempting to collect a debt. And when I call, she can go into further details then. Call came masked as a local phone number.

Susan from Structure Settlement said i have some sort of loan that needed to be collected.  Said i received the money and spent it.  Told her that i never heard of the loan company and to send the information to me and told her this was fraud on an epic level then hung up.  I keep very good watch of my credit report due to recent fraud on my account.  I am thinking they have my information that they may have purchased since my credit has been frozen for some time now.   It sucks that this is the way they intimidate for a living.  I am sure to be sending the information to the FTC.

Called said I️ have a returned payment due and to avoid an arrest warrant I️ have to settle the debt. Never gave a name or reason for the debt. Obvious scam.

called about a bounced check from a payday loan which i don't have, blocked this number

Left message saying my bank refused payment and I needed to call right away to settle this matter. Said have no choice but to push for further legal action if no return call. Said call been recorded as attempt to collect a debt. Funny that he did not leave his name or the company calling from. Also, nothing been mailed to me. This number called once before and wanted me give them my bank information so could secure payment...right....not happening.

They sound foreign, and a scam

Left message said I authorized them to take money from my checking account. Never said who they were, called ask for address refused.

calling me and my family saying that I owed a debt, from structured settlement, that my check bounced, but didn't really provide me with much more information

You don't owe a debt "from structured settlement".  They are a debt collector.  All of that information was provided to you.

Left a voicemail. Called in reference to an audit. Said he wanted to speak to me before he rendered hi recommendations.

"This is a very important message. My name is James from Structured Settlement. Calling in reference to the payment that you had made to our office first and your payment was returned by your bank unpaid. I'm not trying to read too much into this but without an immediate return phone call, you are leaving us no other option but to move forward on this matter. Please return my phone call right away. Telephone number is 888-585-2112 that's 888-585-2112. This is documented and time stamp attempt to try and reach you again and an attempt to collect a debt. Any information obtained will be used for that purpose." (Live caller, not a recording -- Scam debt collection attempt)
