how did you get them to stop.  Im getting the same thing

A man called from this number said i sent him a fraudulent check and said some federal legalities and i could be in trouble i have no dept

Call from 573-273-4082 call back number 855-585-2112.
Claims they have a check that bounced. That I needed to call back and resolve this issue. Gave me a deadline on calling back before 4pm. Or legal action would be filed against me.

First of all, I don't write checks. Second, I have Never done business with this company. Never heard of them.

There is a person named Tammy there. She is going to make me take a road trip. She actually left me a threatening voicemail which I have kept. I will be filing a complaint and harassment on her.

The only issue with this is if the debt's been sold.  The original debtor's gotten their money, or at the least has cut their losses, and the debt becomes legally transferred to a new entity.
However, that said, the new entity still has burden of proof for establishing ownership of this debt.

Well they are back at it again. Received a call at my work while I was away from my desk. James from Structured Settlement "Referencing the payment you made to our office, unfortunately it was returned by your bank unpaid. Now I am not trying to read too much in this, but without an immediate returned phone call, you leave us no option but to move forward on this matter. You need to return this phone call. This is documented and time stamped to reach you again in an attempt to collect debt any information obtained."  TOTAL SCAM, please do not fall for this garbage.

Got the call and he said a payment I made to his office was returned by the bank. Call came in as a local number but said to call back on the 800 number. Such a scam!

Left a voicemail said he was calling to let me know that one of my accounts was blocked. SCAMMMM----

I just received a voice mail at my work number. I work for County government. I can't believe the dumb lady actually left a message for me even when it states who she called. She said she was Tammy from Structured Settlement and she was calling because of a withdraw that I authorized to come from my account and she just needed to verify some security information first. She said she could be reached at (she almost forgot the phone number) 888-585-2112 but the call came from 707-600-6702. At the end she stated, please be advised this call is from a debt collector.

Why did you not look up the number that called you and post there?  Also, have you read the other posts in this thread to get a really great understanding of what to do and how to do it?

Says attempt to collect debt taking it to the board about a letter I should have received. SCAM

Today 8/31/20 I just received another called from structured settlement  573-273-4082.  With the same recording.  I  need to contact them immediately to make a recovery payment to update my payment method. Need to do so within the next 48hrs. Or legal action will be filed against me.  This is a scammer, I will not be calling them back at 888-585-2112. Crazy part when I answer the phone they hang up.  10 minutes later they call back, I let it go to voicemail and they leave a message.  Go figure!

This clearly a scammer. I will never return a call to someone. Who calls my number, leaves no name or reference number. Just a call back number, to give out my personal information.  Because they are threatening to take legal action against me.  Yet, I know I have not created an account with them and owe them nothing.

So with that  Structure settlement, I will not be calling you back at 888-585-2112.  To solve your issues, I owe you Nothing.

Some 314 number left a message about a recommendation to the board on file.  I called back 888-585-2112, spoke to a rude gentleman who kept putting words in my mouth about refusing something.  I hung up.

Left message with first few seconds cut off claiming "it" had gone into collections and to call back this number. Called from a local area code 386. I have amazing credit and nothing that could be in collections.

I have a payment that comes out every two weeks on a friday for a loan. I get this call saying that the payment didnt go through. But i check my account and call the company i owe the money to just to make sure It did go through. But im still not sure why i get calls from that number every two weeks a few hours after my payment was posted.

They have called me many times over the course of 3 years always alternating between cajoling and threatening. They claim that I have a bad check. I have not used checks in a very long time. Today they left a message stating that they have a recording that I authorized a payment that did not go through and that unless I called immediately I could be arrested for bad checks. This seems very suspicious and more like a scam than a legitimate debt collector.

Hopefully you took the time to read the other posts where you would have learned a lot.  I'm guessing you didn't and will now remain clueless.
