Just got the card in the mail today.  Obviously it's a scam...but the question is, "Why does the USPS even deliver this crap?"  Surely they understand that this isn't legit.

    Received it in South Nashville.

I got my card yesterday (6/24/09).  South Nashville as well, no BBB logo, but it's EWS with the dippy looking clip art.  The stamp was put on so low it almost didn't get cancelled.

I don't know if this particular advertising method counts as a scam, but it sure doesn't scream "quality company."

You get your parcel and what not and NO you don't have to pay. It is free. It's what they do. They are giving you a complimentary gift and yes, a water analysis. If you don't want it then fine, you don't have to take it. And if you do want it, then fine also. You just make an appointment for them to bring out your FREE gifts and do your FREE analysis. And YES it is FREE to call. You won't get charged on your bill for calling them. If you are using your minutes on your cell phone then OBVIOUSLY you are using YOUR minutes. That is your own dumbass fault. Get a grip people. Call BBB and find out yourself. They aren't doing anything deceptive. They sent you a postcard saying they have a parcel for you and to call. What's so wrong about that? All you do is call. If you have such a big problem with that, then that just means you are lazy. And again, that's your own fault. And to all of you on this site that are trying to be [***] talkers and make up lies that aren't even true, just stop because you are making yourself look stupid. When you call them, they are very nice ladies who answer the phone. The reason why they won't tell you what your parcel is without giving them your control number because they want to be secure about who they are talking to and aren't giving information out to someone who doesn't have the postcard. And for real? When you are dumb and are like "No, I'm not giving you the control number." Be real. They were the one to even give you that control number in the first place. And they already have your information. So you trying to be all tough with them isn't gonna prove a point to them. They have your info already. See if they care. But if you would be nice and give them the control number, then they will tell you what the parcel is and that there is no cost or obligation for it. And you either say "Ok, that's fine. I want it." Or "No, I'm not interested." And they will say "Thank you and have a nice day" and they will hang up. And you will hang up and then you can get on with your lives. Seriously, people like you guys posting dumb things on this site is just making yourself look like dummy.

And another thing. The freakin' card says EWS not UPS or FEDEX or anything about being from the post office. So therefore, you driving or calling the post office makes you look dumb, again. Does anywhere on that card say from the post office? Exactly, it doesn't. So they aren't lying. Its from EWS, which is located on the top of the card. I can sit here and make up a post card too and send it from my house. Every post card that you get doesn't mean its from the post office. Duh.

Yeah, EcoWater systems and Environmental water system both operate around TN and are sub-contracted to Home Depot. They tried ripping me off with a system called Rain Soft (do not let these people come to your home) They send out post cards like these except to fill out a survey and recieve a $20 Home Depot gift card. Home Depot does do survey and I thought it was part of that process and fell for it.

Of course it is from the post office.  No one else can legally put anything in your mailbox.  It came from EWS through the US mail and they have to deliver it if the meets mailing standards.

I just got this card also.  If all you say is true, then why don't they just put that on the card and if we want it then we will call them.  If your company is so "upstanding" and has so many free things to give away.  They should just state that.
