They said they has legal papers to serve me with wanted to make sure someone over 18 would be home named an old credit card that I had paid off years ago. Said payment didn't go through 2010 and that they were going to file tax document to show it as income. Advised them it's a credit card not income and to send me price of debt and that statute of limitations has run out hung up on him

    Not Today Fool!
Same call stating I owed a debt from 2008 with Chase Bank. I contacted Chase Bank with the account number that John Fredricks with JS&A provided and the bank had no record of the account number. And I can't find the business on any search. Complete scammers!

    Nice try SHILL! No Cigar!
If this (Your) outfit has a valid claim to a valid debt then they'll MAIL out that pesky validation notice within 5 business days of initial contact with a supposed debtor. As per federal regulation under the FDCPA. This (Your) outfit is NOT going to comply with that regulation due to the fact that you're perfectly aware that you're attempting to collect invalid/bogus debt & to do so may put you in jeopardy of prosecution for mail fraud.
The truth can really hurt SCAMMERS! Welcome to the truth SHILL!

I understand what you are saying, My point is, people run up credit cards every day, and when it's time to pay up they claim scam. You can't borrow money and not pay it back. [***] happens in our own lives and struggles happen. I will be the first to admit my life hasn't always been perfect. But I personally feel better knowing I don't owe a dime to anyone!! No more credit cards for me!!
People just pay the bill when it's due and we wouldn't have to deal with companies like this. Rant over, I am done!

Of course you're done. You've been caught & called out!
Your fraud-shop is trying to scam people in to paying time-barred and/or bogus debts. We see your type here all of the time. You always underestimate us & you always start to back-pedal when you start to understand that you're dealing with people who are vastly more intelligent than you are.
Stay in your cubicle & stick to your 'phone. If you play with us here, we'll take your outfit apart...again!

    Hi 'Melissa7667"

How much fentanyl were you promised to write this garbage?  You should check yourself into rehab, so you can get a real job.  You know full well, that you cannot pass a drug test, so that you could even get an entry level retail job, let alone a position of any real responsibility.  So, now your only option is shilling for a fly by night "debt collector"

It appears that your employer is not registered with the state of Massachusetts, as required by law, can you explain why that is?

They also appear to not be licensed to collect debt, can you explain why that is?

This world is so sad. I am sad my kids have to grow up in a place where people are so quick to judge. It's a shame. I don't work there, I have a great job, (I'm a nurse for 27 years not that it matters to you) Fentanyl !!! wow... A drug addict is one thing I will never be! Promise you that! This site is for people looking to see who calls or any complaints... not to bash people for trying to validate the company. Chances are if they have called you in the past, your probably also debtor... a person who chooses not to pay their bills when they used the $ ... Everyone has a story. it's people like you who discourage others from paying what is owed. Misery loves company. You should really re evaluate your own llife and stop being so cruel. God don't like ugly!
    Have a blessed day!

Ah yes... When a SHILL for a fraud-shop starts to lose, they start the old "everyone's a debtor" routine. All we ever have to do is, yet again, remind people of the FDCPA. You SCAMMERS just hate that, don't you "Melissa"?
All of us here pay our bills. That's why we have NO FEAR of dirt-bag bogus debt SCAMMERS! We're also highly educated, very successful & have some extremely talented people working with us. Countless Frauds, Scammers & unscrupulous JDBs from all over the country have had to find that out the hard way. Thank you for presenting us with a project to resurrect "Melissa".

Got a call from Ashley with johnson, Smith & associates saying she had legal documents for my boyfriend, and needed to verify our address to send the documents. Called back and demanded to know what they wanted, they said someone filed a civil complaint against my boyfriend and they needed to talk to him before the legal documents went to the lawyer. They called me again today, Andrew this time amd used a differemt number but same company, and said it's a car loan that my boyfriend took out back in 2004 and it went to collectuons, and now went to a legal office, and that my boyfriend needs to call them to work something out. They even emailed me paperwork. Really confused, but talked to my boyfriend and he said he paid the thing off back in 2004, and he doesnt owe money to anyone. I think it's a scam.

IF there were actual "papers", you would not have a warning call.  BLOCK the number.  Go back to, page 2 and read BigA's informative post on what to do.  CWG40 also gives information.

That outfit won't file any papers, and the reason if fairly simple.  If they actually did, they would have to reveal their actual name and location.  They would have to have an actual attorney who is licensed in your state to represent them and his identity and BAR number would be on that complaint.  The address they are listing on their website is either false or their name is.  As was pointed out, read the other posts and learn.

We received 3 phones messages from Ashley at Johnson Smith and Associates for my mother-in-law. They pronounced her name incorrectly AND used two previously divorced last names put together as one. They didn't even spell one of the names correctly. If you are going to try and make people think your legit, get their names right! Stop trying to prey on people, get yourself a REAL job, and earn your money like everyone else.
