I keep getting calls on my cell phone which I refuse to answer.  They leave voicemail messages for someone else and disclose that they are trying to collect a debt.

They have multiple numbers.  Try reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission.  (It is an easy process, look up the toll free number for making a complaint on their website.)  Have their address and any other numbers when you call.  If they get enough complaints maybe something will be done.

This collection agency calls my cell phone under several different numbers, which I refuse to answer.  They leave prerecorded voicemail messages for someone I've never heard of and disclose that they are trying to collect a debt.

In addition to the FCC, also call the Federal Trade Commission and make a complaint.  Give them as many of the numbers as you know.  Also have the name and address handy when you call.

Save your complaint reference number and call again if you keep getting hassled.  If enough complaints accumulate maybe something will be done.

Continuosly calls 2-4 times a day.  Asked them to remove me from their calling list because the person they are looking for does not reside here. Lasted about 2 weeks then calls resumed. they do not receive returned calls.

They keep calling looking for someone who isn't at my number.  The number comes up 888-799-8009 and now are using the number 216-502-3156.

Call 3 times a day. Sometimes they just hang up. Somtimes they ask if this is my number. Its A man with Indian(middle eastern) accent.

Tate and Associates!!! Tate and Associates!!! 469-656-3478 called my cell phone and did not leave a message, so I called the number back, blocking my number of course, and the voice mail said Tate and Associates, which is a collection agency that usually calls under the number 1-888-799-8009
but this time, I guess they said the will call under a Texas prefix to trick me.......unsure of why they are calling

They called me from the 800 number and 516-765-2339. This # is from Nassau, NY. I called from a friends cell. Told them so. Gentleman asked the home number I was calling about. Told them. Asked if I were (my name). Said yes. Told me he was calling about a WAMU visa. Explained I've never done business w/them. Asked if the last 4 of my ss# was ****. It's not even close. After, he asked to confirm. Then he said they were calling the wrong number. As earlier stated, must be all people with the same/similar name as myself. Hope this helps.

They called my cell phone, I picked up the phone and they asked me if I was so-and-so, I answered yes, I am so-am-so.  They said you owe such-and-such amount to BB&T for a Visa Card.  I said ok, they asked me if I wanted to clear it up.  I told them yes, I am perfectly willing to pay.  They tried to get me to make a payment over the phone, I said "I'm not willing to make a payment over the phone, this is my current address so-and-so at such-and-and such street, such-and-such, State, Zip Code.  I then asked them to mail me a letter or an invoice or something in writing with their company name, the address to mail the payment to, and the amount that I owed.  The flat refused and kept insisting that I make a payment over the phone.  Finally, I said "you want to get paid or not?  Mail me something in writing."

The next day the owner of the company called me and explained that "there hasn't been any activity on this account for a long time.  In order to show your honest intention to pay this debt to my client, I need you to make a payment."  I told the guy I was more than willing to make a payment through the mail, but I needed them to mail me something in writing stating the name of their company, the address to mail the payment to, and the amount that I owed.  He flat refused to do it, and told me that he couldn't mail the letter until I made a payment by phone.  I asked him what was so hard about mailing the letter.  He said that I needed to show my honest intention that I wanted to pay.  I said "isn't giving you my current address to mail the letter to showing honest intention that I want to pay?" He never directly answered that question.  He just said, "We've already mailed you a letter to your last address."  Finally I just gave up and thanked the guy for his time and hung up.  I guess they're not getting paid.  Let them take it to court.  I will be happy to tell the judge that I wanted to pay the debt, and I asked for something in writing with three things on it 1. the name of the company, 2. the address to mail the payment to, and 3. the amount that I owed, and they flat refused to send it to me.  At no time during the "recorded" conversation did they even offer this information over the phone.  The only thing I got was the name of the company when I called them back, and I couldn't understand that.

Calls constantly! All day Monday through Sunday. They never leave a message. I finally called these jerks back and got someone in, you guessed it, India. They said they were in Pittsburg. He sais his name is Sylvester Thompson and his extension is 1104. I told him to stop calling me and never call me again. He said "just enjoy these phone calls because I will not stop calling you". He also said he was calling about BB&T. I used to work for a subsidiary of theirs. I really wish I could have reached out and touched someone on the other end of the phone. I am furious. Someone needs to tell these non-English speaking jerks the rules of the land.

It's totally worth it.  I just got it two weeks ago and the reason I got it was because I kept getting calls from this number for someone who has the same first name as I but different last name by one letter.  I had asked and asked them to stop calling because it was the wrong number, but yet they still kept on calling.  My friend who kept getting those annoying Your Car Warranty has Expired calls told me about this.  Now only people I want to call me can call me.  I have to say, it's sooooooooooooo nice lol.  I hope this helps some of you.

Ask for someone else and not me. I told them I do not know the person. the call over and over on my cell phone. This cost me money!!!!!!!!!!

how can you sue them? receive three four call or more daily from them (tate and kirlin) have blocked all their numbers which are minion. the best part they are looking for someone else. thnaks in advance for your time and considrztion.

called four times on the 8009 number on sunday night after eight pm in less than 10 minutes. plus a call from tate and kirlin (same people) tate and kirlin have many numbers. the best part they are looking for someone else who has my initials.

Get calls from these bozos at home at least once a day. They call from different numbers -- sometimes this one, sometimes 215-464-4500. Caller ID says "Tate & Kirklin" on the 215 number. Sometimes leave messages on Voicemail, sometimes not. Sometimes asking for Miriam [unintelligable last name]. Even after telling them that's not me and I know no one by that name, they continue calling.

Daily or more frequent calls from several of their phone numbers. Their BBB record is lousy - they are not BBB members, which should say a lot about them.

We sent a cease and desist letter by certified mail to this outfit, Tate and Kirlin, and received back the confirmation slip that it had been received. We didn't get any calls for about a week or more, then the last 2 days, they have called. Today my husband answered. The caller, with a foreign accent, who said his name was Adam Smith, told my husband the call was regarding a debt he said we owed. My husband told him we had sent them a cease and desist letter that we know they received and if they called again, we would sue them. Adam Smith said, "Oh sorry. Goodbye." And then he hung up.

Had a voicemail message on my cell phone.  It was an automated caller who started by saying "by listening to this message you acknowledge that you are _____."  But, they never said a name.  Claimed they were from Tate & Kirlin and wanted to talk to me about a debt.

They called on Saturday around 9 a.m,.  real annoying.  Then they called today a Tuesday around 12 noon and again a few minutes ago at 4:45 p.m.  The Saturday call was automated and was looking for a woman whom we don't know.    We didn't pick up assumed it was a debt collection agency.  Today the 2 calls they didn't leave a message.  Just hung up.  ugh.  This sucks.  We don't even owe these people any money.  This crap of bugging people for debts they don't even owe should be against the law.  

I will have to block them off with *60 now.

Call our business looking for another business.  Automated machine is violating the law.  The law requires that a live person be on the phone with you within 2 seconds of your answer the line.  I called the company back, answered as Tate & Associates.  I advised them that this company is not the one they were looking for and advised that they need to have someone line on the line when I answered the line.  Agent I talked to said he wasn't aware of the law.  I advised that I would be reporting this to the FCC and law enforcement.  For those who wish to report them also the FCC form is 1088E, I believe.
