They keep calling and when i ask if its a scam they hang up on me. mickey cutter ext 1037 you lied to me and for what i have four kids 7000 would be great but i am contacting the fbi and wd will see how many hang up on them

They are NOT employees of the United States government. They are committing a crime simply by posing as such. This is not something to be reported to the Department of Homeland Security. Report it to the Federal Trade Commission. They will provide you with a report number. Their phone number is 1-877-382-4357. This is the same department to whom you report suspected identity theft. What's funny is that the phone number is a VOIP (voice over internet protocol) based in Washington, DC. I just told them to shut them down.

If at first they don't succeed, they keep trying. Can you believe they called me to ask WHY I had not called the number they provided? I told them to remove my number and information from their data base. Nine minutes later I received a call from a blocked cell phone (the number comes up "restricted" ... that's usually a Verizon cell phone ... ha call Verizon haha). This time the guy identifies himself as "David" (NOT!) and tells me he's calling from the government about "medical compensation". It gets better. I ask from the government of what country. He says "United States". I said, "You are NOT an employee of the United States government. You are operating a scam. You need to remove my number from your data base.

I'm going to be calling the FTC EVERY SINGLE TIME someone involved in this scam calls me. If they don't stop calling me, I won't stop calling the FTC. Idiots. They picked the wrong woman to mess with this time.

Yes! When you win something, its yours free and clear, no payment up front! And that is providing you even signed up for "insert whatever company giveaway/sweeps here".

I have received a phone call stating that I have been chosen out of 65 people in the U.S. to receive a grant of 7200.00 dollars. He then stated that I needed to take the authorization number and call the number he had given me which was 1-202-621-0235. I then proceeded to call the number to call the number and give them my authorization number. Not only was there not an English person working in the entire building, but they kept asking me to do it right then and there. Oh, ya, did I mention that they wanted me to go put 253.00 dollars on a Green Dot credit card, but stated that it was just going to be held there for MY security. They needed to make sure that it was me. He also knew my social security number, home address, and all my phone numbers. CREEPY!!!!.

Why on earth would you ever give personal information over the phone.  Scam artists have been working us for years .  Surely you've heard about things like this before and should know that you don't have to pay to receive grants or prizes.  I feel bad that you were taken in, but I can't help but feel it is your own fault.

I just got a call saying that i could get $7000 that i wont ever have to pay it back saying if i take $280 to walmart i would get the $7000 in 15mins.

I have jus recieved a calling tell me that I have been selected from 5000 people in american to recieve US Government Grant money.. I have been scammed before and I dnt really believe that anybody in there right mind would give us that much money and jus call us to give it to me, but before I get that money I have to pay $280 and in return they will give me back $7,280.. Thats bunch of BS!! so I dnt believe.. Ill jus work for my money!!!! Damn u SCAMMERS!!

Today Saturday Aug 24, 2013 I recieved a phone call from an Eric Johnsnon. He told me that I was selected among 1500 people in December to recieve a 7,000 grant for me to keep without having to payback. He said because it was from the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank this money was only to be used to pay bills, fix up the house and anything else that was not illegal such casinos or betting as he was explaining to me. After all that He confirmed my name and address and stated that I needed to go to a Walmart with a moneygram location pay the fee of 280 in order to recieve the 7000.00. I almost bought it but I looked up the number and came to this page. Now I know that it is a scam and good thing I did not go through with it. Oh and in order to recieve this money He gave me a confirmation number DL205.

I also got a call from an unknown number he said i was selected to receive a 7000 grant because i paid taxes on time etc. I am 18 I have NEVER paid taxes! I told him that and he said then your parents have always paid their taxes on time. WTF he told me his name was ALEX COPPER and he said to call this number 202 621 0436 to get more info about how i can collect my money. How did he know my name? and my age? creepy SCAMMMMM

For another scam similar to this, I filed it as fraud with my bank.  Within 20 minutes the money was back in my account and they did a formal investigation and the company was charged with fraud.  I would call your bank immediately

According to my caller ID on my cell phone I just got a call from phone number 000-000-0000. The guy on the line with a heavy foreign accent said I was to receive a nonrefundable grant from the federal gov't for 7 thousand dollars. I just needed to call his senior account manager at 202-621-0436 and he would walk me through the process in order to receive the money today.



SCAM!!!!!!!!

I Just got a call from the "US Grant Department Fedural Goverment- washington DC"  I like many it seems was selected to receive $7000.00 in grant money free!!! Got the call from 0000000000 Nancy. Then told to call with a verication number at 202 621 0436. This I did and spoke with Erick Johnson officer #180. Like the others told 3 ways to receive funding I chose money gram/western union.
Told to go to closest call him back while in parking lot and stay on the phone and would record the entire traction for verfication purposes.  Once inside I'd need I'd and because my state required taxes I must pay the $280.00 fee but would be reimbersed when I got grant money!   When I asked for verfication of grant money prio to paying $280.00. Mr. Erick Johnson informed me that they had takendown their web ssite to protect the public but not to WORRY I had his name number and phone number and could file a police report if needed.  He would be the one in trouble not me.

Well. ...yea! I however would be the one out $280.00!!! Mean while they get off scott free.. Calle dumb but not STUPED! !!! oh abd used the word bull sh.t! Key goverment doesn't use profanity. BEWARE BEWARE.....

i just got a call just like this that i was selected for federal govenment grant i gave them my address before i was able to look up this post. but nothing else i was told to call 202-621-0235 ..... thats tooo similar ill just not call the number... but im afriad they know where i live :(

called me today same 202-621-0436 #.same BS about 7000 $ for a grant.opted for western union
and got same BS about sending 250 to get it.sure am glad i look up number online first,and whats up with
with all the backround noise and broken english i could hardly understand what "Michelle" was saying.
