You pay for the phone you shouldn't be called by these jokers to sell their product. If they want to pay for my phone and my time I wouldn't get angry with these clowns.

Called and left no message. It's very annoying. Legitimate businesses tend to leave messages. I'm blocking the number.

I have the same problem I couldn't even tell you how many times medical alert has called I have a list of different numbers from the same area code 212 from New York always says ' senior citzen'. Every day, night doesn't matter what time it is.  I am so tired of these calls.

I just block the area code (212) case closed, no ring, nothing. I just find it interesting to keep track of them, I'm up to 15 different numbers so far. One thing I did notice is that none of these numbers calls back twice It's always a different number, that has to be a pain for people who have to block each number. For these bottom feeders it's best to block the area code and forget about it…...

Good in theory but it still doesn't work...it's a robo call. They will cal unless it's not a active #. It doesn't matter if you pick up or not..if it rings it's active.

I agree.   Let's all call the DNC and have our names and numbers removed from the Registry.  That way all of those Legitimate,  Honest,  and Registered with the FTC Businesses who are currently NOT calling us,   will be free to do so.  Then we can get millions of news callers along with the scammers,  pseudo  debt collectors,   frauds,  thieves,  crooks,  and general all purpose scofflaws.   Mary's Home Style Bakery,   Ace Hardware,  American Airlines,  Nike shoe stores,   Grocery supermarkets,  Drug Stores (the legal ones),   Lawyers advertising by telephone,   Charities galore (legit ones),  Cable companies,  Product sales from every legitimate manufacture in America,  lowes,  home Depot,   Walgreens,  Walmart,  all of the local  "Sh_it  N  Git"  Convenience stores,   Automobile dealerships,  Doctors offices,  Every insurance company in America,  Every medical affiliate in your state,   condoms by the gross,   local Blue light specials via the phone---"come on down for the sale today"  and More than 800 notes will permit me to type.   Think of it!   We  pith and moan about the scofflaws,  and rightfully so,  but  look at who all are in fact  HONORING OUR REQUEST on the DNC,   BY NOT CALLING US!       I hate unwanted callers as much as anyone and more than most,   but instead of complaining constantly about what the DNC doesn't do for me,   I like to consider what it is doing.   We are a Spoiled bunch of people today....
So,   let's all call and cancel on the DNC and test the theory of what can happen once the millions are unleashed!!!!

A recorded message that starts 'Hello Seniors'
- The recording won't start until a reply is given by the caller, I suspect it is a voice operated reply of some kind.

I get this call almost everyday. I will not answer any more phone numbers from 212. The phone hangs up before I can answer or shortly after. Pretty sure this is a telemarketer calling.

I do not want calls from this number.   I do not answer calls that I do not recognize the number and do want to take time from what I am doing to check the phone to see if it is a call I want to answer.

Random robocalling about Life Alert System, Enough of these calls, Telemarketers get a life.

Life Alert System.  I answered and asked for my number to be removed, girl just hung up on me.  I loathe these people so very very much.

We just have to get used to it, the government will not do anything to stop these scammers. The DNC list is totally useless, in fact, it works against us all --- these scammers know that the DNC list is all good numbers and they get the numbers that they call from this list. The scammers know also that the government will not do anything to them for continuing to bother us all with their nuisance calls, so they persist, day after day. Of course, robo-calls have no respect for the DNC list and these calls are made by the dozens a minute, in order of the number. There is no way for ordinary people to stop this practice by these law breakers. The best things that you can do is to not answer the phone if you do not recognize the number in the caller ID, or quickly press talk then immediately press off to cut the call immediately, or use some kind of call blocking.

Got a call from this number.  Ran to the phone and picked it up to no one there.  Another one of those harassment calls.  I get too many from people trying to fix my computer, offer me a great offer on my credit card (and don't seem to know what card I have or the number??) or just calls like this where no one is there.  I think that when they know we are on to the scammers, their revenge is to keep us running to our phones to get no one there.  Yup, the government gives us the DO NOT CALL list that MAY work with legit calling businesses, but these scammers who tap into phony numbers or are out of the country-the government does nothing for us.  They can keep their noses in the citizen's business, but anything done by illegal organizations or illegally out of the country-they do nothing and no attempts are being done to stop the harassment to the citizens (except for that done by our government).  

This is true------and NOT true.
True that the government can't do anything but that is because the scammers SPOOF the numbers. In other words they make it appear on your CID to be someone else calling. I have talked to a company in NY whose number had been used to call by scammers, and they were devastated.

And most calls are made by taking every number in an exchange and than go down the list, and it is not the do not call list even though some may have tried to go that route.

There are companies out there that excel in providing equipment and means to spoof phone numbers, THEY are the ones to nail.

9/04 12:58 PDT 2nd similar call received so far today.  When and if I want or need a medical alert device, I will initiate the service, not thru some cold calling scammer.  I've already had about 1 dozen unsolicated calls today.  What a pain in the A**

Calls, hangs up before leaving msg.

Might they keep calling me everyday because if I don't answer and it goes to message they return the call later?  I noticed that if I don't answer as soon as the answering machine engages the connection ends.  Maybe I should turn the answering machine off when I am home.

Called me today 9/4 at 11:30 am........The phone only rang twice.  Not even enough times for the machine to pick up.  No matter I don't answer calls I don't know.....caller id said New York.....The only way to handle these calls is get caller id, and don't answer calls you don't recognize...DNC list is WORTHLESS
