- HalI have ATT Uverse. My land line is set to do not disturb. I use my land line for making calls. My friends have my cell number. All callers that call my land line get a busy signal.. I can see who calls by going to my ATT account on TV or computer. I phone no longer rings, GREAT.
- Phantom101Received a call from 1-212-662-1326 today. Didn't pick up and no msg was left.
- ScammerSlammer replies to SteveThe best approach is not to answer if you have caller ID. By answering you confirm that yours is a working #, guaranteeing many more calls. Block the # if you can.

robocall from 212-662-1326:caller ID said "NEW YORK" on Monday 09-15-14 @ 1014 AM
Pre-recorded message from Medical alert saying "dont hangup .....you have been selected for a Free system by your Doctor or primary car physician.......blah....blah...blah ......press 1 to talk to a representative."
Pressed 1 and a male SCAMMER came on the line and said his "name, his agent number, and then asked who am I speaking to?" I told him "Mark !!!."
male SCAMMER asked "if we get disconnected is this the best number to reach you at?"
I told him "Yes, it is."
male SCAMMER then asked "how are you doing?"
I told him "real good, but not sure you are doing so good" and immediately started at full blast my "SCAMMER AIR HORN."
After 1 minute of the Air Horn, I checked and asked via my phone speaker "are you still there, expletive?"
male SCAMMER said "yes" so immediately went back to the "SCAMMER AIR HORN."
After another minute of the Air Horn I paused it to check and this male SCAMMER was still there.
I quickly switched over to my "Cussing & Swearing YouTube Rant" which went for around 2 minutes.
While the Rant was going I periodically paused the Rant to verify what would happen. The male SCAMMER
phone seems to have a sound deadening aspect as I could tell when the SCAMMER came back on line each time.
I switched back to the "SCAMMER AIR" horn for almost another minute and the disconnect sound was going strong !!!!!
All told I tied up this SCAMMER BOZO for 10 minutes 14 seconds- Caller: medical alert SCAM
- irritated replies to fed upI have also gotten calls with the same # but I don't answer. I have gotten several that show up from my home phone and found that it is the credit card scam.
- Annoyed in Georgia| 1 replyI answer all of these calls. I then pretend that my daughter has called me away from the phone. I ask the idiot on the phone to hold on and I lay the phone down and go back to whatever I had been doing. The idiot eventually hangs up, but I have wasted some of his time.
- Jon| 2 repliesWe all need to file a suit against Medic Alert, and all the others that call us when we are on the DNC List. I mean I have had them leave messages saying that is the company they are calling for. Why not sue the company?

- KenWe got a call today for the first time from this number at 3:21 pm. Since we live in Massachusetts and have gotten numerous such calls from this area code, all calls from it are now blocked by our call blocker. The National Do Not Call List is useless. I recommend getting a call blocker to avoid such annoying calls.
- jnBest solution is have caller ID and a answering machine and just do not answer when you get a caller you do not know. We just do not answer. We too have gotten a call with our caller ID number. We did not answer and emailed our state Atty General office. I got a message back that it was a credit card scam and not to answer as if you do your name goes on a lot of scam call lists. Just do not be curious. It is a different world out there and that is a real shame.

- Furious| 1 replySo it's the same old Medical Alert bracelet scam? Didn't answer but that's what I am finding.
Has anybody else here or members of your households or extended families who are currently getting these MediAlert calls been admitted to a hospital or clinic any time over the last few years?
Evidently, my senior citizen Mom was admitted briefly for a procedure in a hospital in Texas where an employee was recently discovered to have been accessing patient info since 2007 and selling it to outfits offering these worthless 'health care' gadgets of dubious benefit yet which qualify for coverage by Medicare. That person has been fired and an investigation is ongoing, but my mother has been besieged by these calls ever since her stay there.
Apparently, there is a widespread phenomenon of dishonest people getting on hospital, clinic & extended care facility staffs across the country to mine patient info & sell it to others who can then harass them to buy their cheap medicare approved products. The fact that your number is on the DNC list is irrelevant in this case.
But don't hold your breath waiting for the federal government to prosecute these sleazeholes currently victimizing the old & infirm in their homes to mine the riches available to these companies from the poorly supervised medicare|medicaid system. They're evidently all out golfing and the scammers know this as well as the rest of us do now.
By the way, it's preposterous to say as others have here that because these callers are spoofing numbers (and it's not at all clear this is the case here) that these people can't be caught & shut down by any diligent & competent investigative effort. The key words there are diligent & competent, though, and evidently that's just too much to ask from our government now.- Caller: New York

blocked call - redknight4I received a call from this number it rang twice and hung up before I could answer.
I feel the phone service providers need to star policing their outbound call center customers to weed out auto dialers and scammers. this could help to weed out and imprison a boat load of scammers.
outbound call centers are the ones that call you.- Caller: unknown posably an autodialer/scamer

- SOSCaller ID just says "New York, NY". Caller left no message. I did not recognize the number, so I did not answer it. I regard this to be a telemarketer call. As such, I have blocked the number in a futile bid to make myself feel like I'm actually doing something to stop these morons. But I know I'm just blocking a needle in a haystack.
