Received a call but I did not answered. Believe to be a scammer, reported by numerous people.

This number has called numerous times over the last few months.
It called my land line # again today this time 4:10 PM, and of course
I didn't answer and no message was left.
Very frustrating since I have my phone number registered with the DNC list and
then it has only increased the volume of marketing calls.

This number calls several times/day, usually only ringing twice or so before disconnecting.  It's the robo medical alert phone scam.  This seems to alternate with the Indian computer virus scan scam call that's been going around for years.  Have no idea why they continue to call except to harass cause it's utterly hopeless they're going to get anywhere with me.  Call after call after call, it doesn't stop.  On a serious note, I feel sorry for these pathetic losers who man the phones.  Suppose they have a habit to feed and/or lacking any formal education whatsoever to obtain a legitimate form of employment.  So sad.  So very sad.  In short, if you don't recognize the number, don't answer it.  Doing so is just keeps them calling.

Please, give them an itch they cannot reach to keep them busy;

The same thoughts occurred to me that DNC is either collecting the registered numbers and at one point the numbers change hands. It could be some money source that is involved in DNC favor. What else can this be???? Just received calls today from: 212-662-1326 2 two rings, 516-435-3217 rang till got tired, 610-252-0474 Pennsylvania hung up after 3 rings as ID showed. Since last October I have about 50 numbers (if not more) that I checked on the internet and people complaining about these numbers and we are still slaves to these scams. Conclusion: DNC is useless.

Caller ID "2126621326" ... SEP 08@12:48pm EDT… I do not answer callers I do not know. No message on answering machine.  800notes indicates a SCAM.

Yes, these idiots called again - I was sitting right next top the phone, on the computer. Ran the phone number and disconnected the line.

If we all get a loud horn so when it is a scam we can use the horn like a boat horn(that is really loud) and when you tell them not to and you blow the horn.Maybe they will soon stop calling after a few of those .Either that or they just might have a little trouble hearing on the phone after that and just stop calling you altogether.What do you think.The government will not do anything to stop them.

You and nobody important are absolutely correct.   I can think of nothing that would be more valuable and sought after by any scammer or telemarketer than a list of people who have signed up on a list that literally screams out "DON'T CALL ME!'
Such a list would be true gold for any scammer hoping to enhance his profit potential with an abundance  of people who are waiting by the telephone and welcoming their calls with open arms.

Yesterday caller ID said "Lisa"-----today just toll free call-----different #.  I've kept track of these kinds of calls since they first started happening to me......probably 8 yrs ago maybe more.  Finally got a Panasonic call block phone system.  But it was the first one and only have room for 30 numbers.  They make one now with capability of blocking 250 numbers, but I don't want to pay for a brand new phone system.  So I just erase the blocked 30 numbers and when its full, start all over again.  I've NEVER, in all these years answered one of these calls but it makes no difference.  I understand there are a few other ways to do the call block thing.
