Can someone tell me is this is true ? They state on their website that they have successfully installed over 600 Kitchens in North Carolina in 2009 ?

That's impressive - if true. That boils down to over 60 Kitchens per month and 15 per week. If this is true then these forums I see may indicate simple noise from a small percentage of homeowners led astray. I can accept that if its the case.

Does anyone else think that (600+kitchens installed?)or any other of the 2 or 3 positve posting about Kitchen Carolina wheather it's on here or the Complaint Board is Rob Selfor or his wife? PLEASE DO WE SOUND THAT STUPID!!!!! IF SO I GOT SOME PROPERTY I WOULD LIKE TO SELL YA!

TO many complaints for my liking. Any one that would contract them or do sub work for them remember, when you get screwed don't say you where not worned.

Look. I know everyone is confused on exactly what is going on and just to clear things up KC has now got a rumor blog right on their site to help explain some of the many rumors that you have heard about them.
First I have never in all my days see a company do this...ever.
Second is to the dope that thinks they are getting their act together.. Its a bad act, one that I have seen countless times before from companies that have something good and can't keep it straight. If their act is so together how come they still have no credit with any of the tile suppliers the Armstrong guys(COD)They are still hiring new people to do the work and pissing them off each and every day.
The only thing they may have learned is how to get around paying their bills and making others do all the running around using their gas and still using unqualified people to do the work. I guess if you hire someone to do the kitchens and through greed they think they can do each and every trade you will maybe get some good work but your are going to get crap too.
They have cherry picked who they want working and they are the dumb ones who are willing to take a chance on the lame horse.
If they are indeed getting their act together why is the news channel doing a piece on them, why is the BBB not giving them a rating, why are they being reported to the DOJ. Don't really know to many businesses that have all that going for them and have a chance of getting it together, as a matter of fact I have never known a company in my life that has had so much negative feedback.
I will be helping the crash and burn of these creeps through channels they could have used for good. I love the internet.

ROB. -----------  You keep bragging about how many kitchens you done in 2009..What...over 600........OK Mr.ROB  what the hell happen to all of that money that was made off those kitchens?  You didn't pay the subcontractors, you didn't pay your employees.  Even though they didn't know what they were doing, you still should have paid them.  You left alot of people with unfinished kitchens.  Not one customer I have talked to was happy.  Oh wait a minute......did the money go to the new 450.000 house you just bought, or to all of those cars you have?

Everyone (especially those in the Raleigh area) should consider taking 10 minutes to fill out the complaint form...the more complaints they get the more coverage this story will get. Kitchen Carolina needs to be exposed for the scam organization that they are.  I shudder to think that any new customers are getting involved with them. They need to be shut down for good.

to contractors and customers alike i have contacted the FBI and have a name and direct phone number to this particular agent who wants to hear from everyone who got scammed by rob selfors and kitchen carolina.PLEASE do not hesitate to do this , rob selfors is right now trying to sell his business and start it up in another state. email me at  mikesue54@yahoo.com  to get the info to you on who to call and the fbi agents name.

You guys need to call "Piedmont Renovators" I looked around for someone to remodel my kitchen, and after reading all of the problems with Kitchen Carolina i decided to go with Piedmoont Renovators. They are a fairly new company based in burlington, but they did a great jod re-doing my kitchen. The website is www.piedmonthbrenovators.com check it out.

Well after almost a month of back and forth with Kitchen Carolina (KC), we are out of our contract and got our money back.  We now have a garage full of cabinets and looking for installers to do the job.

I am certain it would not have happened if not for my persistence. I emailed and called anyone I could get contact information for.  I called and questioned Armstrong, got them in the conversation.

There was absolutely no one from KC who took the initiative to contact me and try to resolve the issue.  After losing 2 PMs, the one District Manager I was working with suddenly dropped off and never contacted me again. Only when I started contacting other people at KC did someone pick up the ball and start working with me.  Then they finally told me they could not meet the terms of our contract and offered us a refund.

If anyone wants to get out of their contract and has used GE money to finance, file a dispute with GE.  We did that and it helped to resolve the issue, but you will have to stay on top of KC and GE money and insist on getting your money back.  If I hadn't done that I am certain it would have taken much longer.  I used email as much as possible to keep multiple people in the conversation and also have a record of communication.  Besides, most calls went straight to voice mail anyway.

If KC is trying to stay in business, they are doing a very poor job of showing it.  There were lots of things we were told, but not much follow-up.  They have very poor customer interaction and no one staying on top of things.  I was even told we would be contacted by a PM who would put us in touch with installers in our area to finish the job.  Big surprise, we received no call or email.

They also don’t seem to communicate internally and don’t know their own business.  We ended up getting another credit for hardware.  After initially mentioning in email to KC that our hardware order was wrong (We had changed it and got confirmation from our PM a month earlier), we were told by an Armstrong rep that the hardware could not be changed.  After weeks of exchanges including at least a half-dozen people from KC, no one thought to mention that.  Amazing.

Best of luck to anyone still having to deal with KC.
