I, too, have received continual calls from this number and am also on the no call list.

I did just that and they still called.  If they can't just listen to my request, what makes them think that I would even listen to their?!

Unwanted calls! very annoying

Why should I have to do that? I really don't give a rat's ass whether or not they are a valid polling service. I don't want to be bothered. This is ridiculous.

Asked to quit calling now several calls a day, will not answer-PRANK CALL, must be getting credit for the connection. NOW JUST HARASSMENT!

They called, I answered....it Gallup says it was related to my hubby going to our mortgage company's bank.  Sounded legitimate because he's been talking about using their bank.

Just called me twice. missed it the first time, but the second time I answered, some lady asked me if I could speak spanish?! Told her no and that she had the wrong number, she apoligized and hung up.

You guys have way to much time on your hands. After reading more than a handful of these I found myself becoming guilty of wasting my time as have you.

There is and always will be telemarketing companies. Either answer or don't. I choose not to.

They called me last night, doing a short questionnaire about my service satisfaction with Wells-Fargo Bank.

The Caller ID said "Gallup Poll". The person was very polite and fully identified himself, his company, and the company he was calling on behalf of.  I went ahead and answered the questions, all of which were non-personal and not related to any specific financial transaction.

I too am on both the national and my state's Do-Not-Call registry... but I understand it, calls from a company "you have recently done business with" are exempt from compliance. Apparently this also applies to other companies working on their behalf.

After reading the angry responses from others on this forum, it seems obvious that the Do-Not-Call registry needs to be strengthened to include this kind of annoyance. However, this won't happen unless enough people complain *to their congressperson* to get the law changed. Given today's political climate, I can only say "good luck with that."

The idiot telemarketer said she was doing a follow up from my bank and had the nerve to ask if "I wished to share my account information".  After telling her I'm do not call list and not a bloody idiot, I asked to be removed from the calling list and will be reporting this to the Attorney General and my bank.  Phishing or fishing for bank account info is not cool!

Disregard the advise of giving your name AND phone number because one would be confirming the other.
It seems dumb to avoid the call then end up giving info.  Already done with Do Not Call Registry which is the bona fide agency for this thing and mostly ineffective anyway..  Best not to pick up call.  It pays to be paranoid in these days of online scams, ID theft.  Never give your name along with phone number.  I got three calls 10 minutes ago from these damned people and checked the number here.

Debt Collectors according to the FCC website also CAN NOT call a cell phone because there is no way to know if someone pays by the minute or has a limited minutes plan and it is considered costing the person money to try to collect a debt.

I have two calls recorded on private servers.  This number is used as phishing.  Do not speak with them and be sure to report as spam.  Also report to the FTC.

I don't like paying for this service, but each time a nuisance caller
gets nuked, I know I'm getting my money's worth.

I'm perfectly willing to participate in gallup surveys (I look at their site every single day to see what the new polls are saying). I wish they'd have left a message. If I don't know who is calling, I won't answer the phone. Now that I know whose calling, I'll answer the phone next time. Thanks guys.
