I received a message from this number stating that they are Special Investigator Christopher Flynn and a claim has been filed against me and I, or my attorney.  They actually called a relative and left the message for me.  They had the AUDACITY to threathen me...The WRONG THING to do because I WILL take them up on that offer.  My son-in-law is an attorney.

I just received a call from the same number. Told me someone filed a  complaint gave me a number to call. I looked it up because  I know I didn't owe anyone or did anything to anyone so, just what
I thought scam.  They need to quit scaring people.

So.. what do we do??  I just got this call myself and was freaking out.  They must be stopped because I do not want them to call again or worse start bugging my job or family.  Any ideas??

Also, they give great information on what to say when these people call again.  I called them acting as if I had not called them already.  Was told all about my debt and the court action filed against me.  I then started asking for all the information the FTC told me to ask for and they hung up on me!!!!  Hope that stops the calls!  Here is the FTC link:

Between American Creditation Services and this, they all stick to me getting a payday loan in June of 2009, for which I never did such action. It's getting really tiresome....

Seems like our [***] friends have hired themselves an american to try and continue this scam.  This is the same type of scam as the threatening fake debt collectors who used to threaten to throw you in jail, it used to be done by Pakistanis using spoofed numbers.  When I reported this scam to the AG office in my state they informed me that this scam is suspected to be trying to get money to finance terrorist groups, mainly taliban and al quaeda.

I got a call from this number on a relatives phone, and they said the same thing this is kayla mc call a complaint has been filed against you, you or your lawyer has 24 to 48 hours to respond to oppose this and from a restraining order being placed against you or some such.. Have no idea who they are and I do not recognize the number.. technically if it was a true debt seems i would have recieved a peice of mail from the company.. was the first time I heard from them and so hopes they do not call again.. question is do I call them back or ignore them.. ftc says to call them..

A Robert Jordan called me on my cell at 11:48 am, saying the same thing, "he's an special investigator, gave me a court case #, has a restraining order, and to give the info to my attorney, and good luck"

WOW!!! This is crazy. God is really AWESOME!! I received a called, 02/17/2012 from this company, Central Process Service, my son answered the phone and said that a Robert Jordan a private investigator was on the line for me, they addressed me by my maiden name, but my home phone is listed in my married name. He said that he had 24 hours to contact me regarding a complaint filed against me in the courts. He could not tell me who the complaint was from, so then he gave me this # 570-83-0544, and a reference number. When I called the number I got a James Collins on the phone, and he claimed that I had an outstanding debt that was $795.75, but they will lower it to 521.21. So, they wanted me to pay 150.00 that day, and then split the remaining balance up over 2 payments. Well, after speaking with James Collins, he transferred me to a female name Stacey Williams that threatened me, by saying if I make the payment arrangements, and if any of the payments are returned they will sue me for more than the dollar amount. But I was sitting over here stressing on how I was coming up with the money to pay them, because the creditor was a debt I once had. But when I went to call the number back to tell them I didnt not have them money. It gave options, but no one never answered the phone, after I sat on hold for 20 mins. So, I went on line to see if there was another contact #, based on the phone number they gave, and this is the site I come up on, and listeneing to these other stories. This is a crazy sick world.

I got the same call I did owe an advance but they sounded weard and fake. It does get your nerves going. Are they legit or what should i do. Do act on it or what. They were rude and why would they put a restaint order on a dept. I don't know ,whatever.

I received a call this morning at work and at home.  This was very frustrating and aggravating.  They said I had a complaint but would not say from where.  Said I had 24-48 hours for my attorney to respond or a restraining order would be issued.  He said he was special investigator David Brown gave me a claim number and to call back at 570-983-0544.

I just received the same call with the same information. How do I handle it? I have not called back any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This person called to tell me I was being filed on for non payment of a cash loan.  I do not owe a cash loan.  I had one 2 yrs ago and will never to that again.  During and after I paid it someone kept calling telling the the same thing.  I filed with the local police department.  The company I borrowed from had been hacked.

i was told i had a restraining order filed against me for harassing someone and following them around.  stealing stuff from thier business and that until i show up in court i will have a private investigator watching my every move.  they would not tell me who hired them but said they will stop at nothing and if i do not call and pay within 24-48 hrs i will be paying with bodily harm to me or loved ones.  i have no idea who they are or what is up and called the ploice who said it was a scam and to ignore it.  they wouldnt even come take a report.  the thing that scares me is that there has been times lately where people are arked outside or down the block and sit and watch.  in fact it has happened a lot in the past year.  so this really scares me.  i do not know if it is all connected , but they said the property must be returned or paid in full immediately or the contractor will be hiring someone to take care of this matter physically.  watch out this is a scam .

I got a call from thatr number. They claimed i had a complaint filed against me and told me to call back for more info.

I also received a call from 570 983 0544, I will not worry about this any more until I got something in writing. As other said I do not owe money to anyone.

Interesting. Thank goodness for the smarts for all of us to look up this number!!!  

I also got a message on my voice mail this morning that said they were a special investigator (spoke too fast to get a name) and that I, the respondent must call them back within 24-48 hrs regarding child abuse and a restraining order.  

Seriously, these people have NERVE!  Looking up the number, it was from PA, I live on the other side of the country.

Hi we just recive a call from a guy call Steven Curry to call this number 570-9830544 with a claim number. Suposedly for a lowsuit against my husband. We searched and found the complaint that r in this page.

I was receiving the same phone calls everyday.  Finally I reported them to the Fair Trade, my state's attorney and police.  This is what I was told to say to them.  I told them when they called that their conversation was being recorded and that I had seen them on TV one of the magazine shows had a story about this scam about 3 years ago.  I told them that they had been reported to FTC, State's Attorney and police.  They hung up real fast.  Once you tell them that you are recording the conversation it seems to stop them.
