I just received a similar call today from a woman who couldn't even pronounce my last name stating there was an afadavit and restraining order against me and that I or my lawyer had 24-48 hours to call the number back to clear it up and then ended by saying Good Luck.  These people are nuts!  They are in a tent in India somewhere scamming hundreds and thousands of people.  Do not pay them anything and do not offer them any personal information!

Well they changed name again,david brown, the rest is the same,someone should find these people and string them up

this scum needs to be stopped, my callers message name was david parker. he hung up on me when i called him a scam. tried calling back 2 more time- guess what? no answer. my message was just like so many others on this post- restraining, court number, etc., etc.

I got one of those calls and I saved the message and I even trying calling it back and it wouldn't even go thru.  And I haven't received another one since.  If they do call back they will have a rude awakening.  The sheriffs office where I live have a copy of the recording and they will file charges because it is false representation.

I got a call from a guy william green. Could not speak well. Said that there was a pending law suit for me gave me a case number. Saying I have to go to court. I called them back and said well if this is ligit then come serve me my court papers. Buy law your served papers for court not over the phone. Please dont fall for this scam. They did not even tell me were they work from just a name and saying there with a law firm please that is so stupid

want to stop getting this harrassing calls

Just got a call from a "private investigator" Brandon Jones telling me that me or my lawyer needed to call within 24 hours on a case that involves a restraining order and that court action is being taken against me...First of all...the phone number is out of PA..I live no where near there...also I have paid all of my debts so I know its a scam...it is ILLEGAL for collectors to threaten you....and debt is a CIVIL matter not a CRIMINAL matter....so have fun with these calls...cuss them out...that is what I do..and they stop...come at them with all the illegal actions they are taking and they will hang up and not call back..I know that we are in a ecomonic hard time..but people have to be at the bottom of the barrell to take crap jobs like these scammers....

i received a message with the above veiled threats.  the "claim" number they provided would not access any information.  The man then suggested i provide them my Social Security Number to search by.  I said, NO.

KAYLA McCall  said she was special investigator with a case # AMGM1705 court action with a restraining order..had 24 to 48 hours to respond...the number she gave blepped out one number so Looked the number up on line...finding this is a harassment technique...on hold at this time

Special Investigator David Brown called and left me a message on my voicemail saying that I had a restraining order filed against me and gave me a cause # and that I had 24-48 hours to contact him at 570-983-0544. So glad I googled his name and #. I was getting very nervous.

Same exact call on my cell and home from unknown but left this same number to call back in my 24-48 hrs, my Phoney "Special Investigator" was Jim Reed.  What a joke, last time they called my mom, I have reported it to the FTC and Attorney General.  Saved the voicemails as evidence in case they ever get these illegal low lifes.

Received the same call today, couldn't understand what the caller said well enough to even get the company name and phone # after 5 plays of the message. Pathetic.

I just received a call like ones stated above...this person left a message on my answering machine...Investigator William Green, affidavit with the number, a complaint has been filed against me (no particular person is mentioned in the message), a restraining order, contact my attorney, will be going to court.  WTH!?  Get a life and stop threatening law-abiding citizens!

our caller ID said "unavailable".  Caller stated his name was Special Investigator Dave Brown (or McGuire) and "your name popped up."  Never stated my name or my husband's name.  Something about a lawsuit, a claim number (never stated what insurance company or whose claim number it is), a restraining order and my lawyer had 48 hours to object - message was crackly, hard to hear.  Left the phone number if we had any questions 510-983-0544.  Called this number back, invalid number.

I received a call on an old cell phone that I had passed on to a Veteran.  He called me with an urgent message saying that there was a possible arrest pending for me.  I immediately panicked, called them back and they said I owed for a pay day loan.  They had an old address, email, etc.  They said they couldn't tell me who I owed the debt to but it was a large corporation that handled pay day loans.  Smart as I think I am, they got my debit card number.  Over the weekend I was really troubled by this transaction, so before the date they were going to take a payment out,  I drained my account.  They left a message threatening me with remand, etc.  They said they could take my SSDI and my possessions and prosecute me for fraud.  I called them to respond to the message.  It took a long time to get a hold of anyone.  I kept trying.  I talked to someone finally and he said that they guy who was handling my case would be in shortly.  I informed him that he would get nothing from me until I got a copy of all debt incurred with my signature.  He said Steve would handle that.  I never got a call back, and I have tried to call them.  I am cancelling my debit card.  get them!

I recieved the same call today only the name was Wm Greene,. not the first time. I WILL be reporting them I am sooo sick of these calls!

Just had a message left on my husbands phone and it scared the crap out of me! She said she was a private investigator responding to a claim against me and I must contact a lawyer immediately or call them back and that I must go to court. She referred to me by my ex husbands last name but didn't say what it was about. My husband called back after reading these comments and told her she's a fraud and wants to know what this fake claim is about. She told him he was very rude and hung up on him!! When he called back again he was put on hold and nobody answered.
