OMG...THANK GOODNESS FOR GOOGLING A NUMBER AND SEEING THE RESPONSES ABOVE...I just received a call from a 000 number telling me to call the 570 983 0544 with this reference number and there was a complaint against me....I'm thinking who has a complaint against me. I call and been on hold the entire time~and at the same time reading the above messages~ so ummm yes I hung up...lol.  Thank you all for posting this number...I can pick my heart up off the floor and relax now.

Called the number, got through quick.  Was told I have a debt from 2007.  Asked them to either email or mail the info.  Was told they cannot do either until a settlement is negotiated and payment was made.  I hung up.

I just received a voice mail from a lady who called herself Sharese Bryant, stating the same information in the previous posts.  Something about a law suit/complaint.  The number they called from was:

and they asked me to call

1-570-983-0544

After reading all the previous posts, I will definitely not be returning their phone call.  Thanks, everyone, for the warning!!

so...yes I actually did try to get a loan from a pay day loan svc....but was denied!...so I feel with the information I gave them they r using it to harrass me...I've gone back and pulled my bank statements just to make sure..knowing I would notice if a significant amount of $ appeared in my acct!!..I've. Gotten these calls sparacticly for the last 2 yrs...but when they call they keep calling but only leaving messages on my job# which was a secondary #....I'm tired of it I know I don't owe these ppl anything!!!!!!...I'm so glad I'm not the one...I'M GONNA START REPORTING THEM!!!!!!!!

Message left at apx 8:15 AM 4/2/12.  Spoke very quickly so difficult to capture, but was male identifying himself as "investigator" William Green saying the call concerned a complaint against me (didn't actually name me or anyone, just said "you" throughout), and restraining order requiring my appearance.  Provided what was supposedly an affidavit number and said my attorney or I needed to call 570-983-0544 "immediately" and had 24 -48 hours to oppose the matter.  Sounded a bit odd that someone would be calling rather than serving a written restraining order.  Also that caller never mentioned name of person against whom the complaint was made.  24-48 hour timing also raised suspicions.  Figured very possibly some kind of scam (though unclear how caller would benefit).  In any event, before calling back, tried googling the phone number and found this site which (happily) confirmed my suspicions.   Thank you to all of you who've been posting these warnings.

i just got a call from my mom and dad today 4/2/12 at 12 pm that i was in that same boat wth the rest of u mom and dad called me asked if i knew what was gong on so i called the nbr back as i did hubby said ya rite thats not due prosses so while i waited on them to pick up i went to google and looked it up. Read the post on here and know it was crap.

A long time ago I tried to get a payday loan online... I know now that was dumb. They took 91.00 out of my bank account, luckily my bank refunded the money. A few months later I started receiving calls from people with thick indian accents telling me I owe them money for a unpaid loan for 91.00 and if I don't pay them 360.00 they will have a warrant out for my arrest. They will arrest my boyfriend and father because I used them as references I've made them accessories. If I had children or adult dependents they will be taken away from me, and I will loose my job. Using scare tactics to get my credit card number. They called me over and over and over for almost a yr. When I even mention the police they hang up, their rude. Eventually the calls stopes, and I would only get them every once in a while. Today I got a call first time in a long time from a woman named shaniqua, sounded like a nice lady spoke well english so I guess they finally moved up and can hire people who speaks english for once. I hope they go down. I feel bad for the people that actually fall for this, and get scammed.

I got the exact same call as MO did.  Everything was the same, except in was "Tina Blackwell".

I JUST RECEIVED A CALL FROM 570-983-0544 AND THEY SAID I HAVE 24 HOURS TO PAID MY DEBIT , OR THEYS TAKE ME IN JAIL.I TOLD HIM MR. STEVEN CURRY SEND ME THE LETTER WITH MY DEBIT AND I'LL SEND THE MONEY, HE SAID I NEEDED SEND THE MONEY FIRST WHEN THEYS GOT THE MONEY, HE'LL PROVIDE THE RECEIPT. I'LL NOT SEND ANY MONEY. IT'S FRAUD.

THATS A LIE THIS COMPANY HAS THE INFO ON FILE ALREADY HIS A COMPANY WHO COLLECTS ON PAST DEBTS THAT PEOPLE LIKE U TEND TO TRY AND RUN AWAY FROM SO STOP POSTING [***] ABOUT THIS COMPANY AND PUTTING BAD PAPERS ON THE CORPORATION

Whether a legitimate debt or NOT....pretending to be a "special investigator"....as in, you did NOT get your credentials (oops, I'm sorry, that's a big word, huh?) from a cerial box....is a LIE.

Claiming there is a "court case"...or restraining order...is a LIE.

Calling, and disclosing ANY personal information to ANYONE other than the "legitimate" debtor, is not only unscrupulous....(uh-oh....another big word...sorry about that, I just can't seem to "dumb it down" enough for you) it is downright illegal.

Come to MY house "F U"....or call ME.

You go Motherbear!!!!! thank you, I just got this call myself. I can not believe they put out all this s__t, trying to intimidate people. Makes me sick! The name they gave on my recorder does not even live here.

Thank you so much for this information, I also recieved a message for a family member on my machine from a Todd Willis.  These people need to be stopped.

i got the same call but it was a different daid parker and i really dont know what to do did they ever do anything?

I just got the same message this evening.  I called a friend who is an attorney and he said just based on the length of the affidavit number, this was not real - plus if you were being served, they come to your house.  DO NOT RESPOND!

I got a voicemail  from special investigator, Todd Willis.He said the same things & gave me a case #, scared the heck outta me!! But I googled the #. thanks to all who have posted! I can stop shaking now!

I recieved a message stating they were a process server an someone had filed a suit against me. I returned the call but did not give sny financial info or address. I set up a time in one week to call themback to set up a payment. I hadnt heard of anyone they said I owed so wanted to research before giving money away. Glad I researched. Guess I wont call them back but will make a police report.
