    Rab replies to i called.
No it's not, even one of your counter parts listed my number by caller id.  To bad you didn't really call.  Like I said, I am here till 4 p.m.  If you want me, just call and ask to speak to David.

    Rab
OK - well since you don't want to give me an 800 number with your exact extension, I can't call.  You don't call my 305 area code cell phone (Because it's a Miami #) anymore and I am in the Virgin Islands but will be staying in Costa Rica tomorrow night at the Hotel Del Rey - 1-866-765-8037 (I don't know which room yet).  http://www.hoteldelrey.com

Ask for Jason (He is part owner of Hotel) and tell him you wish to speak to David who just flew in.  I won't be in until late in the evening though because of the time difference.   Sometimes Michelle works the front desk, you can ask for her if Jason isn't in.  So who is mature now?
    Ciao!

Rab, I fully agree with you on your above comments and courage to stand up for what is right !

""You want to go after someone, go after predator lenders, go after uninsured title companies, the Country is this way because Banks went crazy giving everyone credit who didn't deserve it or who did but didn't know what they where getting, then sold the loans or bought loans and title companies, realtors, all came out into the market with no experience or bad intentions and ruined the entire housing market Nationa wide ""

This wild spree of handing out credit to everyone and anyone has gotten this country into a dire situation, and the vultures are flying over head in the form of collection agencies. Even when someone like yourself did everything to right a wrong in good faith there's no ending to the feeding frenzy. I know of two college students who were given credit cards even though they both only worked part time waiting on tables. My niece was given a house loan despite the lenders had to know she couldn't afford the $748 a month payment on only $1,050 a month salary and her already making payments on a used late model car ! Granted she jumped in also without thinking.  Is it a Numbers Game ? Does not matter how secure the loan is but just get the signatures on paper and keep score on the Quantity and not the Quality ?

For 2 weeks now I been receiving calls from this number asking for a former neighbor of mine, a young couple with a small child who was just starting out in life. They both worked but on minimum wage jobs and in this area jobs are now far and few in between but at least they were giving it their best shot. They made plans to earn enough savings to be able to move elsewhere for better paying jobs. One late evening the husband was coming home from working overtime when he hit a deer that wondered onto the road. The end result the husband had to be hospitalized for 2 months, 3 weeks in a coma. They carried no medical insurance ( how can one afford such coverage on minimum wage ? ) and their vehicle insurance only got him into the E.R. This took place 3 years ago and last time I knew of his condition he was still in a nursing home due to brain damage. His wife and child had to move to the far side of the state to live with relatives. The last time I spoke to his wife when she way 3 days away from moving she was completely on a nervous breakdown. She showed me letters from the hospital and doctors who were demanding payment even though she informed them whenever she signed the papers for her husbands medical work she had no way of paying them for their services. Then she showed me the letters where they turned the debt over to a total of 3 collection agencies. Since they couldn't afford phone service I always let them use my phone number for contact purposes. I never in my thoughts knew how collection agencies could be before then. The first two agencies never would believe me after I told them the situation and the husband's wife has moved away and I had no contact with her. The calls were business like but friendly at first then they became so rude and obnoxious I finally reported them to the state attorney general. I was delivered copies of the letters the state attorney general's office sent to the two collection agencies and after I made a phone call to thank them they assured me to keep careful records the next time they ever called back and they'll take legal action. James who has written a earlier post mentioned the collection agencies only sell the bad debt to yet another collection agency without informing them of the previous unsuccessful attempts to contact the client . Yes James you are so right , the wicked will even feed on their own kind.

So now I'm dealing with a third round of collectors and having to contact my state attorney once again. I like to have my phone number changed but after talking with my co workers they told me more likely I'll just be receiving calls again for people I do not know due to some of their own experiences. This country has gone to hell ! Myself only have one debt and that's for a new heat pump and 3 more payments I'm in the clear but why do I have to be involved with other people's debt problems ? My heart goes out to other people who are suffering the same nightmare my former neighbors are going through.I do grant that some people have no intentions of paying a debt they owe and yet they seem to able to borrow more money without a problem and don't intent to pay it back. I do not have favorable feeling towards them just I do not toward collection agencies.

and James, I'm not a very religious person but after reading your post to NCI Employee it renew my hope they are still good people out there. God Bless You Also :)

    Naziiii -

Owning your own business doesn't equal $$$.  Many times it puts you in a worse financial situation thatn if you were an employee because of cash flow problems.  Like in my case - I contract with large companies and I have subcontractors.  Sometimes my clients take forever to pay.  In the meantime, I'm expected to pay my subcontractors whether I get paid or not.  So yes, I have to let my OWN bills go so my subcontractors get paid.  And then when I do pay my own bills, my unsecured debt (credit cards) are going to be the last paid.  The ones in collection are going to be dead last.  I have been sent letters from Nationwide Credit offering to let me settle the debt for less than I owe.  I haven't done that.  I borrowed the money and I will pay back every sent (although I must say that the balance DOUBLED beyond what I ever charged on it because of various "fees."  I will pay it all back, though.  But first my subcontractors get paid, then my morgage, utilities, insurance and car payment.  Act like an ass to me and you'll be at the very bottom of the list.

The caller who left a message today said for me or my attorney to call.  Oooooooooo, trying to scare me now, are you?  Well just for that, you go to the bottom of the list.

Called asking for Lindsay E****** to return call, ext 2086, Anne somebody or other. Well the only person by that name that I know of is my hairdresser. Maybe Anne needs a perm? If she calls back I'll attempt to explain the 'mistake', though from reading posts here that may not be the end of it. I'm not in the least concerned though. I have a telephone recording device available to be turned on at a moment's notice, and I shall inform the caller that recording of the conversation is taking place and ask him/her to agree before proceeding. (perfectly legal). Any subsequent violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices act will be reported to the FTC with a transcript. I work with the Federal Government, Law Enforcement and the DHS on a daily basis, am a retired Intelligence Officer (British Army G4 Div.) and served in the Falkland's war in 1986, so I think I would find their attempts at intimidation & harassment quite amusing.

That's really neat. We monitor and record all of our calls. We get more horrible calls than anyone else. You people act like we are evil and subhuman. I'm tired of being blamed and persicuted by you all. Even the wrong number people are wicked rude and nasty. I'm sick of it. Talk about paranoid people... Anywaze, this place is legitimate. I take information all day everyday from people that WANT to pay their bills. Wrong #'s, great~ I'll remove them. If you are a raging [***] on the phone with me, you can forget about me helping you. Those are the #s that go right to the dialer system!

"Inside", you ARE "evil and subhuman" if you work for these degenerates! To harrass people like you scum does is totally foul and disgusting, unfit for any normal human being to do.Only someone unfit even for McDonalds would do this job. Screw off if you're so "sick of it." Do the best thing you are capable of: get a real job at Burger King making french fries-at least THAT is an honest living, unlike the disgrace you are now. :-P
