- Tricky| 3 repliesDon't worry, Renewed, Mr. Right, or maybe Mr. Good-enough, will come along soon and rescue you from the torture chamber. It might even be someone you call about his debt-well, that's unlikely, but you never know. :-)
There does seem to be a spark of humanity remaining in you. Don't let them turn you into what they are. Be in it, but not of it.- Caller: none
- Tricky| 1 replyWe now return you to our regular program of heaping scorn, abuse and ridicule on the collector critters. ;-)

- Renewed replies to Cynic| 1 replyI'm sorry? Sometimes I use my home computer, too. When I hae the time I will write here because it is fun to read what you people write. Tricky is my favorite, and Rab. Excellent people, rather intelligant as well. It's too bad that our planet is over populated with morons that have nothing but garbage spew out. Being a human is what we all have in common. To treat each other as though we are equal is a little too much to ask it seems. Are we victims of circumstance, or are we too busy and frustrated to see tha big picture? Don't let hate rule your life.
- Renewed replies to Tricky| 2 repliesThere is no such thing. There is only me, "Ms. Get~the~job~done". I am the only person that I can rely on. Every Mr. Whatever has let me down.
- Tricky replies to Renewed| 1 replyRelying on others is sometimes painful.Ask some of the people you call how they relied on their company to employ them for years, only to see their jobs outsourced to China or India so the corporations can maximize their profits, leaving them hung and helpless. Or the predatory lenders who intentionally approved loans, knowing they'd default, so they could make a commission. Or the Wall Street gang, knowingly selling toxic mortgage products to foreigners, resulting in the present world wide financial mess.
Or the lying government-spending a TRILLION dollars on this illegal war, while 38 million people go hungry in this country every night. You're right to rely on only yourself. Now go get a REAL job! ;-) - Renewed replies to TrickyWe talk about it all day. Unlike most people in this fast pace company, I take the time to listen to what people have to say. A moment ago I spent 10 minutes on the phone with a 70 yr old man that had 4 deadly diseases and no income. I cheered him up by talking to him about his children and it turns out that they will help him with this bill. I offer settlmnts to everyone that I can, instead of bargaining, I give them the best offer that I can right away. Hopefully there is another job opportunity available to me, but after I go there will be no one here to sympathize.
- Renewed replies to TrickyYou know what scares me? The mentality of the people that I work with. My job is so high stressed that anyday someone that works with me could snap. They could walk right in here and kill all of us. Another thing that I think about is the people on the other end of the phone... what if we put that person over the edge with all the phone calls and letters? What if when we threaten them, they hang up the phone and shoot themselves?I'm not supposed to think about this stuff, but I do. My boss has pulled me aside and told me that I must do the job the way that they tell me to. "Develop a charactor" they say. I am supposed to act, be an jerk and them be myself later at home... it is head games here. "you will get fired if you don't meet your goal".... If I don't get people to magically pay their bills, I lose my job. right. i tell them to fire me if that's what it takes.
- Tricky| 3 repliesSadly, Renewed, your basic humanity is what will get you fired there. You admit to being frightened by the unstable misfits around you.Can you imagine any of them working in a "normal" business environment? Of course not, they're far too odd for that, and could never get hired. They have a degree of sadism and cruelty you apparently lack-good for you!
Now, do you understand why these creatures are so universally hated and despised? They're not even human...- Caller: none
- Tricky replies to RenewedThank you, Renewed, very kind of you. Somewhat out of context here, but your comments reminded me of this:
“So, let us not be blind to our differences-but let us also direct attention to our common interests and to the means by which those differences can be resolved. And if we cannot end now our differences, at least we can help make the world safe for diversity. For, in the final analysis, our most basic common link is that we all inhabit this small planet. We all breathe the same air. We all cherish our children's future. And we are all mortal.”

June 10, 1963 - Renewed replies to Tricky| 2 repliesI think that this will probably be my last entry here. I cannot give out any more information about my company because it is the hand that feeds, sort of. I am saddened by the lack of human compassion around here, but that is the nature of beast called collections. There was a saint that was a debt collecter, saint peter i believe... All i have left to say to all of you debters and collectors out there is, "please take a moment to realize that you and I are not that different, we bleed the same. Try to work as one instead of fighting like children. face your demon and try to handle yourself as an adult. don't hate, you do not know who that other person truely is."
- Tricky replies to Renewed| 1 replyGoodluck, Renewed. It's been kind of you to reveal the human face behind a ringing telephone. The pity is you're the anomaly; your brethren scum are just that: rude, arrogant, obnoxious social misfits to be condemned and scorned at every opportunity because of their own outrageous, and sometimes, illegal conduct.
You won't last long there, you know. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
:-) - Unrenewed replies to TrickyI am leaving NCI. I have heard the pain and suffering on the phones for the last time. There are a few paople here that are nice... They probably won't last long. I have had it! This is not the job for me. I am not a heartless person, I do not laugh at those people that are crying on the phone. They put them on speaker phone. They all laugh. Enough. Wednesday is my last day. feel free to call me anytime. I will be at ext. 2091.
ask for Carrie Smith. - TrickyCarrie,
Congratulations on your decision. I know jobs are probably scarce where you live, but you're a far better person than the degenerates you leave behind.
You can at least look at yourself in the mirror with dignity, unlike those psychotics so eager to sell their souls for a dollar, and enjoy torturing others. The truth is that 95% of people are going through hard times that are not their fault, and are honest and decent folk. Hold your head high, you should be proud of your decision. Welcome back to the human race. Best of luck, Carrie! :-)- Caller: none
- PAY YOUR BILL!!!!!People if youve leveraged yourselves and lived outside your means, then failed to make 3% minimal payments. Then refuse to even talk to your creditor let alone the agency retained to recover their loss then you my friend deserve at the least to recieve some phone calls. If Every creditor was forced to sue to recover losses then the legal system would be swamped with litigation. Increasing taxes for everyone including those of you who borrrowed too much money, agreed to a contract and then get angry when YOU break the contract. In addition if there was no consequence or recourse for creditors then consumers like myself who pay on time quickly would face higher interest rates and stricter lending practices. AND NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO BORROW ANYTHING. You have no right to complain about calls when your avoiding obligations. Deal with it be an adult and live to your obligations, even if you never could when you assumed them. In closing you owe the money you know you owe the money, it keeps you up all night YOU SIGNED THE CONTRACT YOU SWIPED THE CARD, if it was your money youd want a collection agency after it for you. Bottom line PAY YOUR BILL!!!!

- TrickyAh, another lesson in morality from a thief! Little cockroach scavenger, save the lectures for your fellow bottom feeders, while you put crying old women on speaker phone as background music for your mass masturbation. Your ex-coworker saw the light, and became a human again. Maybe there's even hope for you, too."Worlds Best Debt Collector"? LOL, you pathetic fool, that's like naming yourself "Worlds Best Child Molestor"! No wonder even McDonalds wouldn't hire you, and you wound up in this den of psychopaths...

- mr cheerThe majority of you need to educate yourselves on the matters concerning debt collections. As someone in the field, I know what my rights are concerning calls. An agency calls you for one of two reasons. Either they are retained by the original debtor to contact the account holder or they have purchased the debt at a discounted price and are attempting to collect it for themselves. Either way there are laws protecting the debtor and those receiving calls. Simply not answering or returning messages left does nothing. You need to answer the phone and find out why they are calling. If they are calling you in error, there are hundreds of reasons why. Perhaps the original debtor used to share your address or phone number. Maybe their hand writing was difficult to read and your number has been included on the file. Maybe someone decided to give out a random number out to try and elude debt collectors. Regardless, you wont have the calls end by ignoring the calls. Answer. Find out who they want. If you don't know them, tell them that. That agency will stop calling. Unfortunately, typically once your number is listed in association with a debtor, other agencies, and sometimes the same agency, may start calling again. Sometimes the original creditor pulls files back and redistributes them, unflagging the wrong numbers from the account. Sometimes they pull a new report that was not updated with the wrong number. So you don't have the agency to blame, you have the credit bureau and original creditor to blame. You are responsible to find out what the companies you do business have in the fine print. You signed the contract and agreed to collection activities when you go into default. You should be happy the laws that are in effect now exist. As little as 30 years ago they did not. And with the information age what it is, it isn't as difficult as most would think to find out your banking information, your neighbor's phone numbers, your family and work numbers, anything is out there. And back then, you could call anyone you wanted and start telling them about your debt. Just think how you would enjoy having your work called and your boss told just what you charged on your credit card that you aren't paying. Or maybe discuss that with your mother, your neighbor, your pastor. If you took the time to truly educate yourself you would know how to slow the calls, and how to get yourself out from behind your debt. But alas, ignorance is bliss.
- Tricky| 1 reply"mr cheer", thank you for explaining, in an ideal world, the context within which the recipients of these calls should properly view them, and dutifully express their gratitude, since your true purpose is to "help"them. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal world, wouldn't you agree? Your so-called "profession" has disgraced itself by the lying, insulting, demeaning, threatening and frequently sadistic actions that you no doubt see every day, if not actively participate in yourself. You pretend a moral higher ground, casting yourselves as honorable protectors of the monetary system. Ridiculous! Violations of FDCPA are routine, your records are incredibly flawed and outdated, you possess none of the original documentation required to properly verify claims for payment, and the conduct of "collectors" is disgraceful, and you know it. You simply attempt to collect money,in any way possible, knowing absolutely nothing about the life situations of people you contact.Your greatest weapons against "debtors" are fear, which you ruthlessly attempt to establish, and ignorance of the law in those you contact. In fact, you're actively encouraged to be "tough", aren't you? Were you involved in listening on the speakerphone to the woman crying? Made you really motivated, didn't it,to show your fellow deviants just how "tough" you could be too, right? What if your own mother received a call like that? No, none of you are tough, you are all cowards, like the school yard bully who cries and pisses his pants when confronted. But there's hope for you- when you finally get fired, and fall behind on your own bills, your good buddies will all be happy to call you, too. I'll bet they'll be really understanding, too, just like you.I wonder how you'll like that? Now, get about 10 or 12 of your [***] buddies together and try to come back with a clever retort. Losers.

- The real truthOne thing the credit companies forget they issued the credit, no one stole from them, no one forced them to give away the money. They gave away money and are now angry people will not pay it back, sounds like it is your dumb fault for giving money to people. I know you follow procedures on who you will loan money to. Credit companies and collections need to look at it like this, It's your risk, it's not damaging to other people, unless you make it that way you gave the money away with terms. They don't follow it guess what it's your problem, not anyone else's problem. I believe if you owe debts, you should pay it, credit companies have enough fees and right off's and late charges that people in debt think are unfair and credit companies think people not paying them is unfair.
Truth of the matter is if you're not willing to lose money... you shouldn't loan it.- Caller: No ID
