Calls several times per day, but I don't answer since I don't recognize the number.  I decided to google to find out who this persistent caller is, and came across this site. I don't use credit cards, so this can't be a legit collection.  I suspect it may be the same scam artist who hacked my bank acct. a few years ago and then tried to scare me with threats after I closed the account.  They've even tracked down relatives & threatened them. Beware!

Caller ID for this number says Owens Corning--an insulation company. We have used the insulation for our home, but purchased it at Menards with our bank card. If it's a debt collector, they probably shouldn't use the caller ID of an entirely different company....

This is Comenity Bank.  I've had harassing calls from these morons and they will not leave me alone.  I have a debt that I am having trouble paying and have tried to talk to them.  When I pick up the phone they won't say anything.  They don't leave messages.  I've had so many other calls from them that I was forced to block their numbers.  They just started calling from this number about an hour ago.  They called me from three other numbers, all of which are one digit off from the others.  I resent what one of the above posters said about "pay your bills," but life isn't always that easy.  Harassment, even from debt collectors, IS against the law.  I am keeping track of their calls and will refer this matter to a lawyer and sue.  Even though I've got most of their numbers blocked, I can still tell if they are trying to reach me.  Stupid jerks.  I won't put up with their nonsense!  I've got rights!

I auto reject numbers that I don't recognize or that don't leave a message. The way I figure it, if it's important, leave a message. This number did not leave a message so it got auto rejected.

They just called me a minute ago.  Different number this time - 913-312-5183.  This time I got to speak to a little wench and told her to stop harassing me and get a lawyer, and that I would have her thrown in jail.  I'm sick of this and don't have to take it any more!

This just a forum to let other people know that 614-212-5166 is Comenity Bank and they are harassing people with their debit collection tactics. To get them to stop calling find out how to block the calls with your current carrier and you might also want to see if your carrier has a plan with more minutes, if not start looking for a better plan.

If you want these kind of illegal robocalls to stop, i just got a call from a debt agency.  Their real working number is 860-469-4229!  That number will accept calls!  Request them to tell these companies who are being responsible for these illegal harassment calls to take you off their list of random customers!

I receive these calls & do not have any over due or outstanding balances so there is no debt to pay. Get off your high horse.

We just got this number, and we don't owe anyone. You just have a need to be nasty, so sad.

The person you replied to to is simply one of the trolls that shows up here from time to time.  You are probably receiving calls for the previous owner of the phone who most likely got rid of the number because of all the collection calls they were getting.  You need to send Comenity Bank a certified, return receipt letter telling them to stop calling you because you owe them nothing.  What you need to know to do that and to sue them if they don't stop calling:

One has to wonder why these allegedly “legit” companies need so many phone numbers to call people with.
Seems to be a frequent flyer in these pages with a very bad reputation.  Be advised that they are not subject to the FDCPA since they are the creditor.  They may however be subject to state laws.

They must be paying big bucks to the BBB for that.  Note, the BBB has suddenly removed all the complaints and ratings for this bunch of criminals.  Now that must have cost some real money.
