- Rick| 1 replyWhat's with all the morons on here who can't read and follow directions? instead of whining and insisting the messages must stop (magically?), either call verizon and tell them what SEVERAL people have suggested, or send a STOP msg to the support email listed earlier!
- grande juevos replies to Rickreplying stop doesn't work
if u know what 2 do why u reading this site? - Al| 1 replyI have received 20+ of this number, every 15 - 20 minutes. I have just received another message, even after I contacted Verizon to have them block it. I want this to stop because this is annoying the hell out of me. If there is anything that can be done please let me know.

- dave replies to staceyI spent a long time on the phone with verizon trying to stop this and there was nothing they could do. blocking the number does not work either. They think its someone using spoofing software. Replying to the message dont stop it either it just costs you .25 each time. Verizon will reverse the charges.
- aprilthis question is a bit off topic about the spam feature on our verizon wireless online account if I block numbers with the spam filter will it send a text alert to my phone?
- Caller: verizon
- DroidGirlThis Text Message (11-801-222-2269) is due to the Mobile Email Alerts you once received on a "non" SmartPhone...
If you have your old phone, go into "Messaging" "emails" "Remove Accounts/Delete Accounts"...
Mine stopped after deleting them from my old phone. - wow replies to AlRead the thread in the beginning, there are several solutions to help you with this. This already has been pointed out is a mobile email from verizon which sends you text. Something to do when you switch your phone which had mobile email before, and it's trying to send those emails still to your phone. Some solutions were to text stop back, which you will be charged .25 cents. Or call verizon tech support and mention the words Brew and ozmail, which are the words part of your message, and they might have you reply stop and wave the fee or they might block it for you (which you also can do at my verizon account) or they deactivate your previous mobile email service. Anyways, those were the things mentioned on page 1 on this thread. I got those messages too, i text stop, and they stopped for me, but got charged for that!
- ClaudiaPlease block this number it keeps texting me all day long..non stop!
- Ed GarciaI upgraded to a Droid 2 phone two days ago. Ever since i did I have been getting up to 25 text messages a day from these people. The correct number that is coming up is 11-801-222-2269. I can't block it from Verizon because you can only block up to 10 digits only. WHAT DO I DO???????????

- Verizon RepWe see this happening when someone changes from a feature phone (like the Envy 3) to a smartphone. When the feature phone has subscribed to mobile email and moves to the smartphone, the mobile email program is not avail on the smartphone. The notification system that is attached to a feature phone number continues to push the notification, sadly that is considered an international number. To stop this simply let the Verizon Rep know to use the OZ cust care tool. Inside this tool they can search your phone number, and disable the notification system. Thank you for choosing Verizon Wireless.

- kateSame thing is happening to me. Just got a Droid 2. I use CHOMPSMS for texting so I can block them there, but the junk still pops up in my reg text msg area.
- thexWarriorI activated my Driod 2 Global through a Verizon wireless dealer locally and within the first two hours the phone was active I received a text from this number and they haven't stopped since. It's been two days and I've received over ten text messages from the same number saying the same thing. And, no, texting STOP doesn't stop the texts. This is crap, whoever is doing this needs to be arrested and jailed for several years.

- CourtenaySame problem here been going on for 3 days on the droid 2. Is there any way to stop them since obviously I would not like to be charged or spammed.
- Alisha Hudson replies to IceManI keep getting a .25 charge at least every other bill if not every bill saying I sent an international text message to this number 2012222269. I figure verizon is making a fortune off this number.
- Alisha Hudson replies to SEPT2010I've had a premium text block on my line for over a year and i'm still getting these messages.
- Christina ColeI keep getting text messages from this number and I want them to stop. How do get them to stop texting me?
- droid r2 d2 replies to Found Solution| 1 replyThis guy is right. Ozmail is something Verizon discontinued. Don't be scared, just reply to the text with the word stop. No More texts!
