Got the same text: Spectrum: We’ve detected an issue affecting your services. Please call 833-778-2754 today to schedule a service appointment at no cost to you.”  Did not call.

Scam, they're at it again..

Do you often look up known phone numbers when there's no logical reason to do so?

Got a suspicious text from 87598: Spectrum: "We've detected an issue likely to affect service, though you may not be experiencing it now. Set up appt to avoid service disruption Spectrum.net/fix "
 Then a voice mail to call 833-778-2754.

I believe it is a scam. First, spectrum's website is spectrum.COM, not spectrum.NET. Secondly, if they detect an issue, they should just fix it.
I am hoping to see if anyone in fact got scammed, and what was the actual scam.
In the meantime, I would not click any unknown link from unknown source.

Received a call from the number 8337782754 and was told ‘this is spectrum’ and that they detected a problem with my service. I was instructed to call the number to get an appointment. I did not.

I got an email about needing a service appointment to prevent a future issue and then a few minutes later I got a call from this number. I don't want to let some creeper in my house for 90 minutes.

I've been getting text messages (once every day or two) saying "we've detected a service issue, etc." directing me to call them to set up an appointment for a "technician" to come to the house and repair it "free of charge". I knew that it was a scammer immediately, because Spectrum doesn't have my cell phone # on file and its not the phone number that's linked to our account. Even if it was the correct number, I'd never be remotely comfortable with some random person who messaged me, unsolicited, coming to my home to fix a "service issue" that I didn't report and that I don't have! I feel bad for more vulnerable folks (maybe elderly or with developmentally impaired) who wouldn't be suspicious of unsolicited text messages or emails etc. so I make it a point to warn any friends and/or family members who I feel might be in danger of falling prey to these scammers.

These replies are part of SCAM, instill fear your equipment or service won't work if you don't call them back. All total SCAM

From +1 833-778-2754 and Text 87598 as "Spectrum proactive service call."  A link directed recipient to "Spectrum.NET".  Note: real Spectrum website is Spectrum.COM domain.
So, this is almost certainly a scam.
