They pulled you over for a bounced check? How did they know you bounced a check? And why didn't your bank contact you about it 15 years ago? Your story is confusing.
And please don't claim to be from Michigan. We don't want you here.

Payday Fridays are straight to the nearest Casino for some of these people, especially the woman.. Very sad!  So your not far from wrong there Gunnar! With certain things legal in Nevada, if they didn't have the desk pot belly pencil pushin syndrome, they could earn more legitimately in the other district. But hey, who knows, this may just be the part time job..

I know where that office is - Egypt.  Yup.  Because Bill Collector is in De Nile.   Or in the ladies room hiding out from the sound of 5 pages of posts that recount violations to the laws of man and God.  Come ON back now Bill Collector, let's hear all about how great you are, show some pride in your business and your career path.  Not even a good liar, not even a respectable crook, debt scammers are the tapeworms of criminals.

Looks like GMA was sued so they changed their name:
    https://www.pacermonitor.com/public/case/8531 ... ments_LLC_et_al
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

It may not be calls from just one company under the Summit Receivables banner. Alternate business GMA investments LLC under BBB report http://www.bbb.org/southern-nevada/business-r ... son-nv-90035025 but a search for principles name under bizapedia shows multiple companies with one original name "Processing Service Center" http://www.bizapedia.com/people/ANTHONY-GUADAGNA.html

Sure, we could state "wrong number". Heck, we often do. But do scammers like you believe us? Of course not! You just think if you keep calling and calling that wrong number that we'll get sick of telling you it's a wrong number and pay you. Well, it ain't happening, bud! If we owe you, prove it! You claim you follow the law but you never MAIL us proof of the debt. So, scam.

***A company must be licensed in their state as well as the one they are trying to collect in if two different states are involved.

    Some Tips:
    *Keep all messages
*Take a picture of your Caller ID
*Keep any and all conversations recorded to your states recording laws, some require they be told, others do not. This can be transferred to a recording device.
*Keep a notebook handy for writing time, date, who you spoke with and what the conversation detailed.
*Check your SOL for your state as well.
*Attorneys need to be licensed as a DC to collect, all DC's must be licensed in their state as well as yours if different.
