Consumer Response Unit cannot do anything if they are Nigeria or Pakistan, this is the scam F.Y.I. you have to report this to the FBI or State Department.

The FBI knows all about this...

Taken from another page.............................I got the same thing going for some time; knowing it was a scamming from India or the middle east we had some fun with them.  My husband is an Afgan Vet, 509 Airborne.  On top of his distaste for the middle east, my son is on the net with a large group of friend from Australia, Japan, Germany, ect....so we posted their phone numbers and completely had them shut down from so many calls comming into their deceptive call center, by the end of the the day it was "Mister please, we will quit, just stop the calls"..lol, Oh, and this may seem somewhat ick to some but if you accuse them of "messing" with your goats, or tell them to keep their wife away from you it really sends them to the moon..lol, one actually called my husband an A-1 MF...we laughed for hours...I was like "at least your A-1".  So, if it happens bombard them with everyone one you know calling at once, repeating the same thing over and over, they haven't called me since

This might sound strange, but I am SO HAPPY to find you folks!  I listened to a very threatening message from special agent dee warner a few minutes ago.  I thought I was going to faint!  Omg... They said, among other things, that there was a restraining order against me.  I am retired, have eight grandchildren and absolutely NO unpaid bills.  Sheesh.  Not nice people.  Guess I will have a glass of wine.

    Scammed replies to Jerry Miller
Someone called yesterday morning around 10:39am to be exact and introduced himself as an Investigator from an Auditing department of HSBC and asked to call back and give Affadavit # KUF2750

Called the 1-850-629-8216 number back and a lady spoke too fast like she was on speed or something.
Before even asking or verifiying my identitiy, she immediately threatened that she does not want to involve my Supervisor or place of employment if I don't respond today, they said that there have been several failed attempts to Subpeona me at my residential address for an upaid debt of $1,150.18 from a  2007 balance in which I have PROOF that this has already been settled free in clear in the past!!

Calls from this place is a SCAM SCAM SCAM and these people need to go to JAIL for HARRASING innoncent folks who already paid their past debts!! These people are RE-CYCLING Old Old Old debts that you already settled and paid and for some reason, have some ODD random list they are working off of.

Once they know that you have caught on, on who they really are - when you call them, their system recognizes what number you are calling from and they put you on ETERNAL HOLD . .  meaning that Continental Legal Support now knows YOU figured them out.

    its all fraud!!!!!
These people have been harrasing my mom for months... Telling her they were going to come and get her. That they were going to get the fbi involved and that she will go to prison. Telling her she better call them back or else. Horrible horrible people. They got so bad that my mom is scared for her life. We have filed many many complaints with these people to the police. They havent contacted us in a few months. We just moved and we changed our numbers and everything. All of the sudden. We got a call from them today. A special investigator named Jason Mills is who called us. And said the sames things as above.

I got one of these calls also. Not the first time either. If it was a legitimate legal matter they would have access to the address linked to the phone number and they would communicate via registered mail. NOT leaving a message on an answering machine. This is crap, I hate to even answer the phone anymore. Boy, do I need caller ID!

My parents out of state got a call from this number and company called Continental Legal Support.  They told them that I had 24 hours to call them back and gave them some type of affidavit number.  Anyway, intrigued I called them and of course the person that called me was not there "Brad Smith", not too generic of a name but nevertheless I spoke with someone else.  Lady claims that I opened up a credit account with HBC or HSB...back in May of 2008 for $1801 and change and then closed the account and never paid.  She asked if I had ever received a subpoena from them at my P.O. Box and I responded no.  She claims they attempted twice.  Now really, how many people who serve subpoenas really attempt it at a P.O. Box.  Hmmmmmm... Not very likely.  Especially since I bought a home in 2005 and have not moved since and all that info is current on my credit report with full address.  So I started asking for more info and she said she could not give it to me but that they were going to come after me for fraud because I closed the account.  I asked why it is not on my credit report and she said it should be.  The more questions I asked the more defensive she got and said I could tell it to the judge.

Anyway, since I had not reviewed them in about 6 months, I just pulled all 3 credit reports fresh and nothing with that name, date or amount is on there.  I called her back and told her this and her reply again was you can tell it to the judge.  Very long story short, I think in my case this is a scam.  I am assuming they have my information from previous credit problems as I have had them but it has been close to ten years.

All I can say is do your research.  Ask alot of questions and pull your credit report.  I also inquired with the state attorney in my county......they explained that a collection agency can't issue a subpoena because they are not the intitial party that didn't get paid.  If there is going to be a lawsuit in civil court it has to be filed by the original creditor.  This I believe can happen....but if they have already turned in over to a collection agency, a lawsuit is unlikely in my opinion.

Hope this helps someone out there.  Thanks for reading my long rant.

I get a call like that every few months or so. The first one scared the crap out of me and then I started investigating things. They were VERY hostile and refused to send me anything in writing or tell me who they were calling on behalf of. I told them that I was "by law" required to get a copy of the court order to appear and that I would definitely have my attorney call once I received a copy. They then hung up on me, but proceeded to keep calling everyday. I told them I would be calling the police and the FTC to file a complaint. I told them it is harassment to keep calling someone who requests something in writing and they refuse.
I dont know what else to do to get them to stop....but to my knowledge this is NOTHING to worry about and they never follow through. By law you should be getting a copy of something in the mail OR you would get served court papers if you had a court or restratining order.

I googled their address and got a UPS store in Tallahasse, Florida.  I contacted that UPS store to let them know that this scam company is using their address and asked if there was a Continental Legal Service center near them.  I'm pretty sure there isn't.  I'm currently on hold with this scam company.  This has happened to me before.  As soon as I get the company name that they so-call represent, I contact them asking them for proof of money owed, a valid address and website, and after that POOF!  They disappear!

They are in India or Pakistan, complaining to the FTC or anyone else rather, is not going to get you off their list.
