Yes there is. what you need to do is contact the attorney generals office of your state and yours states department of consumer credit.  we all need to send a message to these people that we are not going to be taken this way and just let it keep going.  also contact the FBI so the federal government knows that it is happening to alot of people.

I noticed the same thing, and I am generally very careful with personal information online.
I am on the phone with Chase Bank trying to remedy the situation.

I also wonder how this random 12.99 a month charge made it onto my account without me noticing it...
I mean, 3 months, thats a long time.

Oh well, just want to thank all of you who took the time to post this [***] on here, it puts my mind at ease that I am not the only one.

Good luck to all, and F*CK all you people who do this to people who actually EARN their own money.

I noticed a charge for $16.04 and this note "RN *SUPERPASS FROM REA 866-212-1343WA" for the past two months on our credit card.  I know this is  affiliated with Real Player, and we used the membership once a few years ago but canceled it.  They tried to tell me that my husband signed up for a membership again but that is false and despite the fact that my name is on the credit card being charged, they wouldn't cancel it until my husband verified that we never reinstated any membership and wanted our money refunded and everything canceled.  I don't know how they were able to start charging our card without any communication with or verification from us.  Be vigilant when checking your account statements!

If you go to REAL.COM, You will find out that this is for a VIDEO ON DEMAND.  There are links so that you can contact the vendor and tell them that you didnt authorize anything with this vendor

Real BB Essentials is a virus protecton for your computer through McAfee. So if you have used the McAfee free trial and forgot to cancel then you are being billed for it.

I didn't receive any call but was billed $12.99 from RN *REAL BB ESSENTIALS  866-212-1343 WA.
I have never hear of such a company so called the number and talked to a person very difficult to understand.  He said I had signed up for a 30 day trial.  I asked what I had signed up for and he said it was for anti-virus. He said he would cancel the account, but I still owed the current amount on my card.
I called my bank and they said they would take care of it and would void my current card and issue a new one with a different number.

I am sorry to say that I am still having a problem even though I could understand the guy, Victor, and received confirmation by email that the account had been cxl'd that same day I called.  This seems to be an on going saga.

I have been charged for a year and I did not know it. We never really use this card and when we got the bill I would just pay it. When I knew we had no balance and we were charged with late payment fee I began to look around.   RN *SUPERPASS FROM REA 8662121343 WA  Is attached to "Real Player", so when I signed up for a 2 week trial notice this "super pass" was attached??? I called and canceled real player and the company had a record of my call. However the SUPERPASS was not canceled at the same time. So I have been paying $17.00 / month. I called and canceled, the phone number works, however I am still contacting the better business bureau.

I read your post, Steve, as I also had 4 months of charges before I noticed. I was also able to get the first payment credited by the first person and then I immediately asked to speak to their supervisor regarding the other 3 payments and they credited back my account for my "special case". I told them I tried to download the free real player and signed up without realizing. Only took a few minutes and now I feel 60 bucks richer :-P

I just saw a charge on my debit card--to the best of my knowledge, I've never received a phone call either.  While McAfee came with the computer-we never even registered any info so I don't know how they got the number...
