- anonymous also replies to anonymous| 1 replyThats funny mr or mrs debt collector. you are so upset. i laugh at people like you. getting mad because you are not getting that commission. stop calling me if i was going to pay you , i would have called you....you can call me all day . but what i advise you to do is call someone else who you might have a chance with. AND FURTHERMORE, ITS NOT LEGAL for a debt collector to call to threaten proceedings if you have not started proceedings yet. now look that up in your pictionary.
- Karen replies to anonymous| 1 replyI have already paid this debt in November. Cambridge and Huxley Assoc.
have been calling. They said there is no proof and i need to pay this again. I have proof on my bank statement. I told them I will not pay twice and I will add this to my credit report. I did not receive a collection letter and have not been given a chance to dispute this. I have a petition against me. I paid cashnet back. I will go to the D.A. consumer fraud division and file a complaint. - legit collector replies to H.MicheleDon't pay the wrong company, call Cash Net to confirm who you owe! 888-801-9078.
- fed up replies to anonymousNobody is saying there's anything illegal about collecting debt. This company is using illegal practices to attempt debt collection. They (or you) have misrepresented themselves as a law firm. I understand I owe on a debt, but I never would be in this situation if it weren't for the pay day loan companies. The outrageous interest rates got me sucked into a loop of getting loans to pay off other loans. I had to get a new bank account to keep from getting evicted. All because I needed help one month due to medical bills. I do plan to pay the debt. Cambridge Huxley won't get a dime though!
- Thor replies to anonymousOr ignore them completely....
- CJ in WII have received about 8 calls from this company from different numbers over the past 3 weeks. I can only say 8 as those are the calls I have recorded. They are informed when calling our office (as does ALL offices that do now)"this call maybe monitored or recorded". AT NO TIME in ANY of these calls have they stated they are "debt collector" or Collection agency. They constantly use the following words to describe themselves: Firm, Process Server, or Petition Server.
I have nothing in writing from this company. Have sent them a validation and cease and desist letter. The only address I have been able to find is on here. I also thought it was a felony to impersonate a lawyer.- Caller: Cambridge and Huxley

- peggy replies to Latasha Nicholson| 1 replyI have received numerous calls from 1-866-241-9765 ext 314 looking for someone that I have never heard of and I keep telling them "stop calling here...no one here by that name"...today I got home with a message on my phone that a suite is going to be filed and this person needs to contact the law offices of Cambridge Huxley at the above #. I CALLED them back ..they were VERY rude when I insisted they REMOVE my phone # from their data pool of #'s. Not sure how to really stop them....I HAVE contacted the attorney generals office but have little faith in it doing any good.
- Texas girlRodney Anthony Giove, of Niagara Falls, NY started out associated with a Niagara Falls, NY law firm. He either could not cut it, was fired or likely too inept to practice law. He now can be seen driving his new Range Rover around Niagara Falls LOADED with cash, he makes from his new career renting his law license out as a debt collector.
His new partners; Douglas J. Mackinnon, Mark Bohn and company make up the nucleus of the WORST debt collection organization in America.
It should be made perfectly clear that Rodney is incapable and has NEVER litigated a collection account under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the federal law that regulates debt collectors. They cannot, they have NO training, and rented law license are NEVER used in a courtroom.
Consumers are warned to stay FAR away from anyone representing to collect a debt for any of these illegal operations. They will NEVER file any lawsuits; there are NO court orders, judgments, wage garnishments, or any other legal proceedings going on, except the ones in their drug induced heads. These sick people should be avoided. They are also desperate to make money, while they still have their freedom.

- Lance replies to Russell DuesenbergI'm pretty sure it is illegal for collectors to contact third parties. I think that there should be a class action brought against these guys.

- cjmGetting calls from Cambridge Huxley and [***] (pun intended) at first a girl named Jessica who said she was an attorney, I sent a payment of about $50.00, but I was curious and decided to google this so called law firm just to find out that they are a collection agency, Jessica call back to make sure that I had sent a payment in. When I questioned her about stating she was an attorney, I also asked her to send me verification that they received the payment and a signed loan paper with my signature she got very angry and started yelling hanging up the phone. I called back and got a man who said he would send the info and a receipt, nothing has been sent. If I owe I will pay, but I need proof, they have already proved to be liars. Just got another call from some idiot stating he was well versed in the laws of all states, but yet when asked to send verification he said he had to wait on his secretary I said oh you are so well versed in the law but can't send an e-mail, bologna! and he said that I was told to purchase a debit card to make payments to them I refuse to purchase a debit card I believe this is a way for you not to be able to trace any payments made to them, ask for receipts, and copies of signed documents, because if money is owed it should not matter how it is paid. Purchase a debit card? Whatever!!!!

- n/aThey are collecting for pay day loans as stated earlier. I did take a pay day loan out and I did NOT pay it back. They called and stated that next step would be court. They offered two payment plans--one with 4 payments charging interest--the other was 2 payments and no fees/interest. I chose it and only paid back $50 more than the original loan I took out. I can't say if they actually would have taken me to court, but I don't have the time to find out--nor do I particularly like court--so I paid it back. They said I would go to court in the county I reside in--which they knew--and the judge would give me 30 days to pay it back. If I didn't pay it back a "judgement" would be placed on my credit report--supposedly even Bankrupcy will not get a "judgement" off of a credit report.

- H'okayIf you guys are from 716, you know they have job listings and they do have the right to train debt collectors. They have like 30 people tops collecting. . You think a big company like this would have loads of people working for them wielding and dealing out these calls.
