They Keep calling me and my sons home and saying they want money for a debt I owe but will not send me proof in the mail but want my checking acct, # and will not stop calling me and said the are going to take me to court

NO ONE IS CALLED UNLESS THEY ACTUALLY OWE DEBT! For anyone that says they didnt take a loan out BULL lol there legit with the FDCPA look it up third party contact once with out disclosure is not illegal   The fact is you guys took out loans a long time ago and think you can get away with it and some people dont read the fine lines when they take these pay day loans  every 2 weeks after  a no payment  the interest goes into process  re charging you every 2 weeks so you accrue debt FAST so   please stop whining and just pay your bills people or youll get calls from HONEST WORKING PEOPLE dealing with a RANGE of people

you dont have to be from a bottom feeder company beleive me anyone who took out a pay day loan  or somone took out a pay day loan with the company this company is just being retained for their services their doing you a favor by calling you and saying its there they were just asked to make a recommondation in all honesty alot of these accounts are WAY past collections

just be reminded that third party contact is fdcpa legal in alot of states and no one says their a lawyer at that place the only reason ppl say their with giove is because HIS BUILDING USE TO BE THERE but if you look it up giove is actually not their anymore and its a diff company this company has no affilition or ANY RELATION to him   the pure fact of the matter is   identity theft sucks but it happens and they give you a chance to resolve it and PAY YOUR FRIGGEN BILLS PEOPLE lol

Cambridge, Huxlley and Ass. did finally send a letter in the mail, again stating that something is owed, the number that is in the letter keeps coming up that this number is not in service 866-241-9765 I have called several times to let them know that they still have not sent a copy of the original loan document with my signature.  I have called an attorney and he stated that they have to show me something that I signed, people I have been hosed before by some company claiming that I owed an $800.00 loan charge before and I came to find out the hard way that it was some scam.  It is my own fault because you hear these horror stories how people are always getting scammed by these internet companies. So to be honest I am very leary of Cambridge, Huxley, because who are they that they can't even put a correct phone number on a letter.  I will try the 866-376-4180 number to see if I can reach someone.  I will only pay them if I owe, but if they cannot produce a signed form with my signature they won't be getting squat.  Have legal representation, don't pay unless you are sure as to whom and what you are paying.   GET DOCUMENTATION!!!!!!!!!HAVE PROOF!!!!!!!! This is to Again! What is so wrong with this company that they cannot send me some form of a signed document?  I appreciate that they finally after several weeks sent me a letter stating that I owe, but they still have not sent the a copy of a signed document with my signature from the loan company, that is all I am asking for, now where is the difficulty in that?

Finally got through to the number on the letter head 866-241-9765, as soon as they send me what I need I will be more than happy to pay, then I hope I never ever have to here from these people again, and if any of you pay these people, only if you owe, make them send receipts of payments received so then you can have proof that your debt has been met. Then if they continue to call with threats then turn the tables on them, and file harassment charges on them.

Wow...that is funny! Validation is not mentioned in The FDCPA? Blow it out your ass! Validate fully or don't get paid! It's that simple. You can call all you want. The phone messages make me laugh!! Really do!

BTW: I have a credit rating above 750. They are calling the wrong number but are too stupid to realize it. I have told them one multiple occasions and have contacted the attorney general but they still don't get it.

Again...not true. The FDCPA allows the debtor to request full validate of the debt from the company requesting payment. You are requesting payment then if the debtor sends a letter return receipt requested (the return receipt is not required by the FDCPA but needed when you sue the CA for non-compliance) you need to provide proof of the debt (please read the FDCPA for what proof constitutes i.e your signature on an application, payment history to the original creditor etc.)

The collection agency contacting you regarding a debt which has been discharged in bankruptcy is a felony. You may be able to press criminal charges against this company. Speak to your bankruptcy attorney for more information. In addition, you can sue in civil court for monetary damges. Again, speak with you attorney.

These people called me looking for my sister who lives in PA (and I live in OR).  Is this bogus?

To any and all getting this message below in the state of Minnesota, per many complaints lodged in regards to this  alleged agency , If they are indeed a Collection Firm they are not licensed to practice in that state of Minnesota and and all calls should be reported to out agency in regards.

For advise this is a example of recoded messages that are left from this firm that recordings have been turned in to the state office , and this would be deemed as illegal and in direct violation of FDCPA.

Also this company is not a law firm that we can identify , if contacted by anyone from this firm please do contact State agency , do not return calls to them. approach as possible fraud.

We just got a call from these idoits as well. We don't owe anyone any money, so any more phone calls from these a--holes and we will turn this over to the District Attorney. If a company an not tell me why they are calling I sure as hell am not going to call them back

This firm keeps calling me, at MY JOB about some debt that my boyfriend owes.  It's not even mine, but what's worse is they keep making these harrassing phone calls to my place of employment !!  I refuse to return these calls and want them to stop before I report this firm to the BBB AND the States Attorney General !

You are SO wrong !  I do not owe any outstanding debts, my bills are all current.  The person who called even said it was for First Name Last Name, and that person IS NOT ME !  So, don't speak unless you know what you're talking about.

okay you guys   they collect of of pay day loans  the companys come to them with a certain amount of what is called PAPER and the paper he buys cost money to buy cause hes buying the debt off the company NOW all you ppl that are getting calls from CHA its because they have the right to skip trace the debtor and pull of close contact numbers to call  so if you get calls you either ow the money   know somone that ows the money   or use to live near the person who owes money so please stop whining about ppl doing their job and stop taking out payday loans  look in the news  and see how many of these people take out these loans cancel their bank account and dissapear for a year now when they are confronted about it its all the idont knwo what your talking about game so yah please be sure you guys have the proper knowledge of what is and should be done with a collection call before you deem it inviolation of the fdcpa     all their employees HAVE to know the fdpca to the T

Hey, "Anonymous!"  Shut your judgemental trap!  These morons are calling me because an acquaintance put my cell phone number down on a loan application!  They are automatically routed to voicemail, which is where they will spend eternity as far as I am concerned.  I am holding on to all their lame recordings and may just decide to file on them.  I do not owe and pay my bills, but they are calling me about an acquaintance?  Give me a pricking break!  A**holes!

Route them directly to voicemail (or to your message machine if you have a landline).  Be sure to keep all recordings of them calling even if you do not plan to do anything with the recordings.  I'm keeping all recordings as insurance, just in case, on a whim, I decide I want to formally complain.  For now, I am holding on to the recordings and just ignoring them.  They are looking for acquaintance of mine and, yet, they keep calling me.  I guess they think they can get info out of me and/or they are embarrassing my acquaintance?  Geez!  How cheesy!
