Had some "missed calls" from this number twice a day on December 8th, 18th, and 22nd. Did not bother answering. I don't have any credit cards, so if this IS from Capitol One, they have the wrong number.

Do not call my cell phone number again!

Capitol one. They keep saying "we have great opportunities for you".

We have been getting these calls for months now. I understand why, it is because of my refusal to pay 22% interest. We have had a Cap One Visa for 8 years, never late, or over the limit. They sent us a letter, or so they said, indicating our rate would go from 9.9% that we have had for 8 yrs to 22%. We called when we saw our inerest rate at 22% and they said we missed the deadline to close our account and refuse the new rate.
  I advised them that I did not receive any such prior notification and asked why the rate was going up since the Fed's rate to them is the lowest in over 50 yrs. They said it is due to the economy and their right to do so. I made some remark as to the taxpayer bailout of institutions such as theirs to which their was no reply. In short I told them that i would finish paying the balanc of 3046.87 at the 9.9% and after that they would receive nothing further from me. I know they have dinged my credit, but it is now a matter of principle.
  The tactic of we will report this to the credit bureau and your life will be ruined because of you negligence to pay your bills has got to stop. Our lives are not defined by our credit report, we all have inate value as we are all children of God. Yes this goes for atheists
as well.
  I know the people calling are just doing their job, but at some point we have to stand up for our prinicples and say enough to the big banks and credit institutions. there is a price to pay for principles and the price we have paid is a ding on our credit report and phone calls, but they will receive no more money from me. There is no garnishing of wages in Texas for this and at the advice of counsel if they file suit, they will lose, as I did not agree to 22%.
  Times are hard for all of us right now, so be nice to those who call as they are only doing what their boss says for them to do. It is the individuals in the corporate tower that have dictated to collection edicts and they are laughing with their 7 figure bonuses. Do not be intimidated by them, just stand up for yourself and hold fast to your principles of right and wrong....Grace and Peace

Thank you! Almost made a big mistake. I thought it was legit and I was going to call to be removed from their call list. Oh, BTW...bills paid and am a Cap One Customer. ;) For the record.

Me too! They just called me and I was like... hmm I closed my Capital One card a year ago!

they call during the day at night and in the morning even on weekends. if you answer it just says please stand by for an important call.

I get these freakin calls twice NO ONE IN MY HOUSE OR AT MY NUMBER HAS EVER HAD A CAPITAL ONE CARD. I am on the Do not Call list. So to the moron "I pay my Bills" your probably one of the morons behind these calls. The people generating these scam calls need to be arrested they are breaking the law. Why the hell would you "I pay my bills" be on a site like this defending them unless you work for these scam callers. I have no debt, I pay my bills and shouldn't have to put up with this crap. I have been logging every call and reporting every call to the FTC, The Do not call site and the FCC. Everyone else should do the same that hasn't had anything to do with Capital One. I

called, left no message. waste of time. I don't answer calls that aren't properly identified via caller ID, and if the caller doesn't feel the call is important enough to leave a message (besides, please call blah blah blah at 1-800-xxx-xxxx), then I agree with them, it's not important.

I agree with "I pay my bills."  Pay your frickin' bills and don't make excuses... the calls will stop.  I love paying taxes so that you donkey's can receive welfare checks.  Appreciate it.  And to all the people who say I lost my job or this or that... go to McDonald's or 7-11 or any fast food chain... they are always hiring.  You just don't get a job there becasue you don't want to work there.  Quit you're whining, get a job and pay your bills.

They start 8am then call all day, every day.

Caller ask about someone in my past (Call was not about me?). Just fishing for information. I'm not sure if this is even legal?

I received a call from someone claiming to be from Capitol One. They were asking for my dad's girlfriend of 4 years. I used to live with my dad and her a little over 2 years ago before I moved in with my mom and eventually got married and got a place of my own. I recieved this call at my house which has no ties to my dad's girlfriend or anyone other than me or my wife. One thing they did ask me was how long I had had this number for. I told them about 5 months or so. They told me they would remove it from their database. What I don't understand is how they got the number in the first place and how we were linked together. I don't have Capitol One. I'm not sure what my dad's girlfriend has. Any ideas?

calls me 50 times a day its very annoyin i work 3rd shift so this really gets on my nerves needs 2 stop calling

People have no lives at all these are telemarketers and they call on Sunday morning at 9:30am what is that you stupid morons get a life. No one is interested in your services. They are all at church praying for you.

I have no business with these people.  They keep calling my house looking for my brother in law.  I have no idea how they got my phone #.  They called me again today I told the man that I'm not Roy and to quit calling me.  He said sorry then I hung up.  I wish these people would leave me alone.  Is there anything I can do if they continue calling me?

Theses people keep calling me when I do not have any accounts with them. I want them to stop calling me. They do not leave messages. I recently got this phone number and I know it's probably for the girl who used to have this number, but despite how many times I tell them to remove my number I'm still getting a million calls.
