Same thing for me. I called up, spoke to a very friendly woman who refunded the 59.95 annual membership fee, and also refunded the 59.95 from when I originally signed up last year. So I kind of ended up making money in this deal. I am happy as you can assume.

I also received this on my Debit Card Statement only mine was for $54.25, mine was legit.  I just didn't recognize the charge.  I called the number and a very friendly lady spoke to me and explained what my charge was for.  I had signed my son up for baseball through my hometowns online website.  They actually use this company to run the cards and get the money collected.  It was a legitimate charge for me.

Completely sneaky....if you sign upfor ANYTHING using Active.com please read the fine print on all pages.  I notified the place i made the registration and they are aware of the small print and have asked that they be removed from having them do an automatic sign up - they are not able to do so.  I think this is horrible it was a municipality that I registered a class with.....who would think you need to read the fine print on that process....disgusting!  ***NOTE - active.com was accessed via the municipality web site so I was not really aware I was leaving their registration system to pay!

$10 fee on my Discover Card for ACT*Bham Parks and Rec.  This is not a valid charge. I called the number and got voice msg about them 'having trouble'.  I 'stayed online' for customer service and rec'd another long voice msg.

Just happened to me. After a 30 minute wait I was refunded back my money. They really need to be more clear on the fact that you'll be charged after a "free 30 day trial".

I just called them as they have charged me two years already and just discovered it last night. They are refunding me both years. Suppose reading the fine letters is a must!

Found the $59 charge on our credit card and didnt' know what it was.   I looked up Active Advantage on the internet, and called the number listed there.  (it's not same as the one on the charge slip)  I cancelled the charge, and said I'd never signed up for a membership.  The woman said that when we made our camping reservations, through "Reserve America",  there was a checked box and we were supposed to REMOVE the check if we DIDN'T want a membership.  That seems criminal to me!  I'm writing a strong protest to Reserve America,  they have no right to give out my credit card number.   I'm also writing the Calif.  State Parks system.

got a 3.75 charge from them. I thought I got scammed by a skimming operation but it turned out to be swimming charge for the local rec club so no big deal. Just wish it said the name of the rec club instead of ACT*REGISTRATION,877-228-4881,CA

Awful company ! I charged me 64.95$ for nothing that i signed for or registered in ! bank deputy service turned me to the company to cancel the "service" which I even didn't ask for... I waited on phone for almost an HOUR!!!! and what a loss of time ! uggggh!!!!

Same thing...no intention whatsoever to enter a race this year. I have no idea how they got my account number. I initiated a dispute with my card company this afternoon. Very angry.

Just noticed a charge for $68.39 on my credit card statement for advantage?? wtf? I didn't authorize this?? I have been on hold for 20 minutes already, not happy!!!

Just noticed it on my statement. WTF, no authorization or where got information. May 14 date. I never lived in area.

64.95 charged to my American Express card. I never authorized, this is a fraudulent charge. Called American Express and the fraud dept removed the charges. Pays to have American Express. They are sending me new cards. Sleazy people ....need to get a honest job or go to jail.
