You can't just tell them verbally.  You can try, and it might work with some, but not most.  You have to put a cease and desist letter in writing to them, but usually then they will file suit against you if the amount is worth it to them.  Otherwise, you might get luck and they just write off as a bad debt expense.

This number keeps calling me and asking me to verify my birthday.  I told them that if they can not tell me what they are calling me about then I will not give them any of my Info and not to ever call me again.

877-249- 2168 Receivable Solutions. Was asking if I was calling "about a mailer they had sent to me".  Comes up as an unknown caller on my caller Id. But i did get a mane. Whyan How can i get them to stop calling???

I had paid off my Mercy bill 2 months ago and still got calls from Receivable Solutions. Today I got another, I have had this number blocked since the first call, and I called Mercy Billing (855-420-7900). Mercy confirmed I owed nothing. I explained about Receivable Solutions sending me letters and calling me wanting money. The person I talked to said they would contact Receivable Solutions and tell them my account was paid in full and to stop trying to collect. I will see if that does anything and let you know. Regardless if you have paid off your Mercy bill it might be a good idea to contact Mercy and let them know that Receivable Solutions is still trying to collect.

If you have been to any Mercy facility in MO, OK, AR or any other state Mercy has hospitals they do their billing from their home in St. Louis, MO.
