Automated message that sounds like just a person who has something important for you, but this is just a collection agency trick.  Sometimes they leave a message using the person's name they are looking for (which isn't me), but seems like answering to tell them that makes it even worse.  They call about once a day.  They will call from other 913 numbers as well.

We have been getting calls from this number for about 6 months.  We have never picked up the phone and never tried to return their calls.  I have never not paid a bill and we are debt free so I believe this is a mistake.  Even if it is ligitamite it have to be more than ten years old and not worth much.  I will never call.  I don't care if they keep calling for ten years!  Anyone know how long it will be before they give up?

I have been receiving several calls a week from this company, I caught the end of one call to my answering machine and tried to speak with the ( person ) on the other end however I could not get them to introduce themselves or relate the reason for the calls.

  We did get behind on some Dr. bills several years ago but they were all paid eventually and to date we owe nothing to anyone.   The house is paid off the autos are all paid off and even the motorscooter is paid off.  Other than monthly utilitys we are out of debt.  

  Wouldn't it be nice if we could fix it so our machines called them nonstop 24 7 365  just so they wouldn't be lonely.  LOL.

Received calls from Automated Message Bob at work today and came across this site. Wow.

To those who are saying to a) "just pay your bills" or b) "just tell them to stop calling" -- um, please.

Why the hell should we all have to waste our time fending off calls from these idiots? What a crackpot organization, leaving misleading messages for people as young as 16 years old, harassing them if they call back, and profiting on phantom debts. Bottomfeeders indeed.

If anyone on this forum is an employee of KCI posting in its defense -- I hope you feel incredible shame. Please get a real job you can be proud of.

ITS COLLECTIONS WISE UP

We don't owe this bill.  This is the third agency we have had to deal with who has "bought" this debt that we don't owe.  Our cellular company in one state continued to bill us after we relocated to another state and discontinued service.  The company was bought out by AT&T so we can't even contact the original company to "call off the dogs".

THESE GUYS ARE ITDIOTs.... they do work for everest (surewest) and medical bills. I have been in contact with all the personal at everest. I dont owe anything and to call these idiots bluff i called them back. But hey guess what they hang up on me when i tell them my phone number.. lol  They tell me it is my job to send them the money... etc.... These people are funny as hell, it makes for a fun night of messing with a collection agency... MAYBE OBAMA could bail them out...

that is not true there are many things you can do about it and i for one have had the same problem you can turn them in to the "BBB" you can turn them in to the federal trade commission and if they were in violation of the fair debt collections acct many more things you dont have to put up with them doing that to you

even if you do have an outstanding bill, be very careful giving any information to these people. they are not trustworthy with your information, and they tend to be very uneducated....go figure....

These people call my cell phone from approx. 15 different Kansas City, KS (specifically Overland Park) numbers and leave automated messages saying "we still haven't heard back from you", and asking me to call them back at 913-541-9925.  I also receive an average of 2 messages per week on my work phone from a live person looking for Joseph (my name's not Joseph, Joe, Joey, etc), and I've had the same work number for more than 5 years.  THAT'S ILLEGAL, FALSE PRETENSE!!!  

What's absolutely ridiculous is I know they're "representing" Everest/Surewest over a disputed bill (which I don't owe) from over a year ago.  Surewest has obviously eliminated the debt from their system because just last week, 2 reps came to my front door offering me deals (specifically as a former customer) to get me to switch back to them from Time Warner Cable.  I told them I refused to switch because they screwed me by erroneously forwarding my account to a f***ing collection agency.

What's really sad is 307 and 327 are prefixes from the richest part of a county which ranks in the top 5 in wealth in the entire USA.  I live no more than 10 minutes away from that part of town.  Either this company got lost when looking for an office space, or it's a group of lazy people who saw one of those "get rich quick" infomericals at 2 in the morning.  It's impossible to make "thousands per month" without SCREWING someone over, and I think that's exactly what this "company" aims to do.

Why are they calling me? They called at 10:48AM 10:48AM and 10:49 AM all different people asking for a jenifer somthing. and thats not even me nor do i know who this is! How can i make them stop?!

And it was not an automated number like everyone else says. it was a real person each time.

They have started calling me at work (Molly), and today called my parents looking for me (Roy).  All I owe is a bill to the hospital that I have been paying down over time.  They are jerks.

My 12 year old daughter just got her first cell phone.  She gets calls several times a day from KCI.  They ask for two different people.

They have been calling me as well, but I do have an ER bill I have been trying to pay off.  I have been unemployed so it has been difficult. Is this really a scam?

I actually do owe for an ER bill. I have been trying to pay it off with KCI, which is difficult since I have been unemployed for a year. Should I be worried? Am I getting scammed? I asked them to send me something in the mail, but they refused.  I have been paying over the phone when I can.

A f**king collection agency kept calling from this number.

harrassement! I pay monthly a small debt.  I have repeatly asked these people and the Attonery General to not call my work.

BBB cannot do anything!
BBB will not do anything if the company is a dues paying member!  They side with the dues paying business over the consumer all the time.

You file complaints with these government agencies - the only ones that have the authority to do anything!
