- Ralph Gommert replies to Big D| 1 replyYou can get 5 years of imprisonment for blowing loud whistle in someones ear-----not worth the crime...........
- FactJack replies to BigA| 1 replyThe fact is that the phone line will not carry the loudness of the air horn or whistle as it is limited by its very nature. The whole long list of people commenting on this is silly... While annoying, the whistle or air horn cannot damage the ear of the person listening and will not land you in jail. Scream into a phone and see how loud it is... I sounds like screaming but it is not loud like screaming in the same room. Silly parrots.
- BigA replies to FactJackYes, I think that was the whole point of my post if you take the time to read it correctly. It will however damage the hearing of the person using the whistle/airhorn since they are in the same room and there will be sufficient decibels to do damage.
- Tygerkat replies to Ralph GommertOh, you can not. Yeesh. Where did you get that nonsense?

- Maria Gallegos Ortega| 1 replyAnnoying....I have been receiving automated calls from this number 1-800-900-1380. This is an automated call system stating that I owe money (I don't recognize any debt in the amount stated). They automated system stated that if I don't pay in 5 days, they will turn this debt to a collection agency.
- Caller: Penncredit Corporation
- ScootThey call everyday, rings once, stops.
Very annoying, just one more indecent group of people in this world.- Caller: ???
- Madeline| 1 replyDebt collectors that call dawn, noon, and dusk. Calls start at 7 AM and go until 11 PM. These people have no lives and want debts that are not due. Even claim there are people who have such debts among us, whom we not know. Weirdos!
- Caller: Penn Credit
- Call type: Debt collector
- BigA replies to MadelineDebt collectors are only legally allowed to call from 8 am to 9 pm your time, so that is a violation right there. This outfit is well known to violate all State and Federal collection laws, and you are well within your rights to sue them and to report them.
You need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation, cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (think of it as the best $6.47 you ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/
http://www.consumeradvocates.org/find-an-atto ... tates_value=All
Everything else you need to know follows including at least two agencies where you should report their criminal activities.
PENN CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS ALSO GOES BY PENN CREDIT CORPORATION.
Alternate Business names: C.C.C., CENTRAL CREDIT CONTROL, DEGARCIA, DONALD C. DONAGHER, JR.
They are known to be rude (especially someone named Jennifer who lies as well), and to attempt to collect debts after they were asked to validate them but did not.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here and also make a complaint at this government site: http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
