Underaged girl scam numbers.  Appears to be centered on the Eastern Seaboard somewhere.  I think it is the same party or parties doing this.  I suspect that they actually work in the telemarketing industry in some capacity or another.

The extortionists work from dating sites.

MO goes like this:   Someone contacts you saying they are the “father” of and under aged girl you contacted.  They say they will go to police unless you pay them money by untraceable means.

In some cases they spoof real police detectives and real police departments. Say there is an investigation ongoing and   by the way,  they’ll  l stop the investigation if you pay  them or the complainant party a certain amount of money.  Again by untraceable means.

Anyone contacted by these extortionists should immediately block the number and make a police report of attempted extortion.  This crime  is a felony in most jurisdictions.   As is outright extortion.

With hundreds of similar stories spanning months, the perps must be only a handful of people. How have they not been caught by now. Smh

I had the exact same thing happen to me, they've made there way to Florida, same story as pretty much everyone else. Texting, photos, call from the dad (772)-208-7486, wanted untraceable money, threaten to have the wife turn in the evidence.
Sounded like a scam, then I found this page and knew it was all bullsh*t. I've been Ignoring them for a few weeks now and not a word. I did get two more calls from (386)-213-8780 & (386)-463-1062 did even bother to answer.

Been getting calls from this number for months now

I was scammed by these people now want to know how to prosecute them ?

Same thing happened to me back in September of 16, talking to a girl who sent nude photos, unfortunately i dont recall if she said she was 16 before or after, anyways somewhere after they were sent i stopped talking to her.

A week later I get a call from a 202-643-7974 who when i answered was just irate asking if i was some kind of pedophile, what am i doing with his daughter missy (sounded like an angry black guy and the daughter was white) and so he never used my name and i asked who he was trying to call, and he just responded with oh you think this is funny? Well how about i take this phone to the police and - *click/block*

Now in march of this yeah i get a call from 405-757-4982 claiming to be an investigator Jim Perry in oklahoma (i am in colorado by the way) saying the family has been trying to get ahold of me and explained the situation, also asking if i knew a sarah or hayley smith, which i didnt and then asked if i bad any phone numbers starting with 202. he kinda had a southern accent but not a thick one. So he offered putting the father, myself and the investigator on a 3 way phone call that night to which i agreed and i told my side of the story, the father sounded the same and wasnt as irate as prior, but same story with the wife wanting to go to the authorities. So the investigator says "*My Name* he is not wanting to hurt you or ruin your life, but we want to clme to an agreement on this somehow, and the family is in hard times now because the girl you talked to is in a state run mental rehab center currently and all their money is invested in her currently, like right now they dont have power and are charging phones in their truck. So what theyre doing is theyre asking for help, yada yada phone disconnection/early service termination. Theyre asking for the money to be sent via Greendot Moneypak, and i had to look up what this was (thats what the investigstor said) and explained how to get it. So i was to send him the back and he would pass it on tk the father so i did, in addition write a letter of appology to the mother and he also said he knew i had no prior criminal record. And all this was to be done as a civil agreement btw and asked if i had access to a notary for the paperwork

So i dont hear from them for 2 days until the investigator texts me after i sent him a message asking if everything was ok since i havent heard from him and said there was a problem and the familys insurance fell out andif they couldnt get 1200$ by the next day the state would press charges and the family would lose custody. He was also emailing me from a jperryusmc60@gmail.com

So idiotically since i still believed this to be legit and this was before even thinking about looking this up, i paid it. I get an email from him saying

"Ok, here is what we have for you, you are fine as far as your situation is concerned, Mr. smith and his wife are grateful for your help, we are still having problems with our company phones and it appears to be our backups, and al phones are down. My phone is off so just keep in touch with me through our emails, if this is satisfactory let me know, you will be getting the paperwork soon (never did), in the mean time i have some stuff to take care of, have a good one

So anyways i got ahold of the investigator in south carolina with that name and he said before i even got a word in "is this about plenty of fish? Underage girl, father getting involved" and i said yes and he goes "its a scam someone is using my name and mike rainey (his partner) for some reason and the day before i called he said there was a confession to using his name from inside a correctional facility.

The last email from the guy i got was on April 2nd saying "i am just checking up on you, making sure your fine? Are we still staying in touch?" Which i didnt answer

I havent heard anything in almost 3 months so figured if it was legit then i would have had police at my door by now lol

8326269804 is the dads. Dad is coming up Texas and girls was South Carolina but he claimed to have cancelled it and even sent me a very legit looking Verizon bill.
He went as far as spoofing my local PD. I almost fell for it if it wasn't for this post. Still a bit scared over the whole thing so I went ahead and deleted the account I met her on but I've saved the extortion texts and the texts I exchanged with her because I made it clear I didn't believe her age and tried calling her but the number didn't receive calls.. [***] this is a horrifying scam, felt so real. Still shaken.

So, i met a girl on an app called SKOUT; her profile says she's 18, from Gardner, Ks. Yesterday was the first time we spoke and after a while we exchanged numbers, texted a bit and eventually exchanged nudes. Today i missed 3 calls from her father Richard and he expects me to pay for the termination of his family mobile plan. He says it's 450 and if i pay 200 he'll leave it be.. I sent an actual photo of myself. So im wondering if it isn't a scam, what can the consequences be

Got anothee number for everyone, dealt with this scam  from a few out of state area codes recently in Oklahoma and Washington DC followed up by he number 8432263324. Idk what they were going to ask only that i heard "make shre hes where he needs to be, yeah is this Jake" and i hung up, probably another "detective"

So to repeat it this originally started last year in september meeting a girl on pof. We started texting and she sent nudes without me asking then said she was 16, so i stopped answering because i didnt think to block at the time until she wouldnt stop texting so i blocked her number.

Later that night we are on a 3 way phone call and i tell my side of the story to a guy who sounds like the dad in the original call and the investigator goes "look Mr. Smith isnt trying to hurt you or anything but their family hit hard times" etc and said theyre asking for help and asked me to pay 380 on a greendot moneypak for a phone and disconnection fee and write a letter of apology to mrs.smith. Which i did and went out the next day to buy it and texted it to the investigator, didnt hear back until friday so like 3 days later. He says he was trying to get ahold of me and that there was a problem, the familys insurance apparently fell out and they needed 1200 or the state would take over and press charges so idiotically i paid (i didnt know this was a scam or even think of looking into it at the time)

So he tried sending me all the paperwork since we did a civil agreement and he couldnt send it for some reason and their company phones were acting up so he never gave me his office number but all his emails were from jperryusmc60@gmail.com, he even sent a bogus copy of a "receipt" which looked like it was made in a word document.

I got this new call from 843-643-3323 which is registered to a Malik White in SC. Luckily i was trading in my Phone and getting a new number anyways so i wont be getting any more calls i think!

All in all this whole thing scared the crap out of me and i reported it to the sherriff who took my info, numbers involved and such but said it was a scam, as did the investigator assigned to my case, and an attorney. No police at the door

Also i caed the real investigator perry in south carolina, and this is whats funny, he cut me off before i could tell the story and he goes "is this about POF? Underage girl and the dad getting involved?" Said yes and he goes its a scam, skmeone is using his name and Mike Rainey (who is in his department) and they were trying to find out who, but they said someone in a correctional facility admitted to using his name.

Long story short to everyone who is coming here new, keep a level head and think critically,save yourself 1200$!

Mine happened a week and a half ago. I reported it to the police where he number is located. Girl on her page said she was 19. She texted me and sent me nudes. I never asked for them. Then no reply from her for a few days and her number is 9199017628. Her dad called me from the same number saying I needed to pay $500 to pay for half her counseling. He said his daughter was 15. She never told me her true age. I was scared at first but then I saw this and started laughing. I have blocked and changed my number. They must have moved into North Carolina now. The phones voicemail is not set up and every time I tried calling no one would answer.
