Just got the same call regarding Craigslist. Met a gal claiming she was 20 and I get a text from a "Special Agent Ryan" saying it would be in my best interest to call him. I did and he said I was exchanging pics with a minor (which I had no knowledge of any minor I've ever talked to) and he said that the father is willing to work out a deal with me? He called and said his daughter slit her wrists and fought his wife. He said if I paid to de-activate his "daughters" cell phone, he would forget about everything. He wanted $497,  his number was 843-849-4607. I will report to the police today.

Same thing happened to me, basically word for word on many of these posts. Scumbag is now using the number 4102409098, also spoofed the number of a local police department.

I recently engaged in conversation with a "Mandy" off of a plenty of fish website, she asked for my number and I gave it to her. I received her text and we began talking via text and getting to know eachother like where we both are from, what we do for work etc. She out of nowhere asks for a dick pic and said heres a sexy pic of me so you will send one too! She proceeds to send me a picture of her backside and I idiotically sent her a picture as well. I get a call from a Jimmy Hunt who told me my full name and said his client which is "Mandys" father said that I sent his daughter dirty pictures and wants to prosecute me because his daughter is underage. Her profile states 19 I am just unsure of what to do.

Scam. Southern drawl, sounds black, says "son" and "sir" a lot? Call him back and mess with him. Ask him if you can skip to the part where he says "son, you goin' to jail". Then block his number or change yours, and move on with your life. There is no girl, father, attorney, cop, nothing. Just an extortionist.

Does it matter that much? "AD" reported here exactly nineteen months ago. The criminal(s) using that alias could have burned through several more by now. They can change personae like you change underwear.

Two years on, where are the statistics defining a sharp increase in young people serving jail time for felonious solicitation? They get the angry father routine regardless, which tries to glide on hearsay and embarrassment. The first line of defense is the same one for the Russian Brides and the fake deployed soldiers. Everyone needs training to identify fake profiles and personal ads, and then the patterns of excessively forward behavior in fraudulent messaging. Some fraud signs are more subtle, and go undetected by those thinking with only their glands.

Same thing guys.  Met woman on adultfriendfinder.  Actually talked to her and woman sounded like she was in her thirty's named kayla.  A Mr. Davis (father) left text messages threatening to go to police.  Was scared at first but once the mother called from a restricted number I noticed it was the same woman claiming to be the mother sounded just like the 19yr old woman I talked to on phone.   I told her this and text the dad back and told him I was going to the police.  Blocked number and haven't heard anything else.  Person is still on Adultfriendfinfer doing business..  number was 854 202 0460

I got the same thing from a number in SC acting as a ”PI” the number was ‭+1 (864) 887-2812‬ and different number from the “father” and “daughter” and the PI said he would call the father and see if he would be willing to talk to me long behold 5 minutes later my phone rings and he’s cursing me out saying how his “daughter” broke her nephews Xbox and destroyed the house now she’s in a mental hospital and I messed up his christmas. He basically said he would call his wife and see if I could “help them out” ($2,000.00) or if she still wants to turn the phone in and press charges. Do you guys think it’s all a scam? This was off the POF site as well.
