I recieved this call twice tonight. The first time I missed it, the second time I answered. Survey from TDBank North (although the bank officially changed it's name to TDBank) regarding in bank customer experience. I told the guy I haven't done any recent in office banking and he ended the call with a polite thank you.

Regarding your comment about long distance charging, this is completely incorrect, at least as how it applies in the states. Most cell providers provide free nationwide long distance calling. I have a feeling that you meant and inncorrectly confused long-distance calling with international calling. Please check with your supervisor and/or training dept for proper terminology, or see the following.

As stated previously, this is not a TD Bank number. This is a 3rd party conducting surveys on behalf of TD Bank. Therefore, as stated, this is NOT a number TD Bank uses. This is a number a company they pay to conduct surveys uses. There is a difference, please pay attention.

If it was an unknown number, how do you know what number called you? The number is not unknown. It is simply unknown to you. An unknown number would not show a callerid number when you received the call.

I do not work with/for and am in no way affiliated with TD Bank, but generally when you call all belligerent threatening to close your bank account with something that your local branch has nothing to do with, they will say/do anything to appease you, as the customer is always right. I highly doubt the supervisor @ your local TD branch had the international marketing strategy outline/plans in front of her to correctly label such calls a scam or not. Just a thought.

No, they probably do not have to abide by the no-call rule if your number is on it, and if you also agreed to this when you opened your TD Bank account. Should be buried somewhere in the fine print you signed.

This number called me but did not leave a message.

I called them back and received a message that said ' thank you for calling core sential...a research company'

I always check the number calling me and if I recognize it as possible call company, I simply click the receiver off.
Sooner or later I will be placed in a waste of money list lol!
Perhaps if more people did something similar the call companies would figure out that there's no money
in calling randomly and building lists of callers that actually answered so that the lists can be sold over and over to marketers.
