- GHC replies to JanYeah! They are a real company of scam artists! Calling my cell looking for a third party! I'll give them a d*mn party!
- GHC replies to knowitallnancy| 1 replyThere, there, Little Miss KNOWITALLnancy! Don't let your tail feathers get ruffled! Many of these "debt-collectors" don't play nice and don't make nice! Many of them are the scum of the earth! I did not take out a loan and not pay it back and Cambridge, Huxley & Associates is harrassing me on MY CELL PHONE because some acquaintance of mine put my name & cell number down as a reference on an application!!!! They turn to illegal antics and a bunch of BS and would sell their own mother into slavery (or whatever ... use your imagination)! They are equivalent to Mafia Loan Sharks. Oh, and I do not yell or scream at anyone, If they ever do get a hold of me, I have intelligence and knowledge of the law on my side and do not need to scream or yell. However, they will probably be screaming when I am done with them. However, they will probably never get a hold of me. I merely allow the call to go to voicemail where I record their lame calls. I'm keeping the recordings for insurance just in case I decide I have some extra time to toy with them (like they constantly do with other people). People who took out loans, and for whatever reason, did not pay them back should not be victimized by scammers who inflate the amount owed. I'm not saying that they shouldn't pay the money back. I am saying that it IS NOT okay to use "loan shark" antics and antics that are purely illegal.
- GHC replies to anonymousblah, blah to you
(LOL) .............. You're so ignorant that you are funny (funny bunny) - GHC replies to anonymousThat's not nessarily true. Some of the biggest convicts are in the "collection" business. Is that what you do for a living .......... work for a loan shark?
- GHC replies to anonymousThat's not necessarily true. Some of the biggest convicts are in the "collection" business. Is that what you do for a living .......... work for a loan shark?
- GHC replies to knowitallnancyHahahahahaha! They better be able to validate the debt in writing (and have ALL their wittle ducks in a roll)! LOL!!!
- GHC replies to MadashellThey want you to think that they are a law firm.
- GHC replies to inthebizfortoolongI never give out info over the phone. If they need verification, then they better send something in writing and, then, we will see. There are way too many con artists out there. Oh, but no collectors need call me as all my bills are paid. However, I do get real sick and tired of collectors calling me about a third party. I'm going to give them a "party" if they don't quit calling me on my cell!
- GHC replies to AGAINOh! Ir's you "AGAIN!" For your information, these idiots are calling me looking for someone that does not reside at my residence. These idiots call third parties and harrass. Just so you will know, not that it's any of your d*mn business, my bills are all paid up (and paid on time too). Bestos mi coolo!
- GHC replies to GAHIf you don't like the environment here, leave. It is NOT my job and/or obligation to give out info on a friend/acquaintance to some stranger on a phone line. It is their obligation to quit calling me about a third party. And, just for your info, I am NOT a whiner. I got a steel-toed boot reserved just especially for someone like you, so don't push it.
- GHC replies to GAH| 1 replyThe toe on this boot is very pointy! :)
- Anthony Palmer replies to GHCThese people called me from 1-866-241-9765 I knew that I had a payday loan from Cashnet, after reading what you guys all wrote, I called Cashnet, they told me they didn't "own" my loan anymore, they guy I talked to at cashnet, I think his name was Derrick was really informative, he told me how this all works, he said after the account "charges off", meaning after they tried to take the money out of my bank account, which was overdrawn and closed, then they sold it, and appearently, this company, Cambrige Huxley "bought" my loan, so it is their responsibility to re-coup their money, I also called a lawyer here in Missouri that does free work on bill collectors, I played him the message that they left and I also told him that they called my parents house, my job and my girlfriend, the first question he asked was if those were the "reference" phone numbers that I p[ut on the loan paperwork, and they were. He told me that I didnt have a case because they didnt break any laws, he said the message wasn't in violation of any state or country laws or the fcpa or whatever. I just wanted to share this info cause I noticed a lot of people had questions. The lawyer told me to try to make payment arrangements with them and I think I will because I dont want them calling me anymore. So, as far as I can tell, it's not a scam or whatever, I did take that loan out, and I saw that someone said they wanted a signed loan agreement and the lawyer told me of it was an online loan there wouldnt be any signed paperwork, it gave me some code to use as my "electronic" signiture. I hope this helps you all, I am not trying to change anyones mind, do with this what you will but I thought that I would share my experience with you all, just as you all have shared yours. Good luck to you all and God Bless.
- pinky70This number called my ex-inlaws as well as my parents whom I have not resided with in over 18years. They left a message saying they were representing Canyon County in a matter concerning some allegations that were brought up against me!!!!! Does that not sound as if it is a CRIMINAL matter? So then my family thinks I am in trouble for something criminal instead of financial! If they are going to misrepresent themselves in this manner, how do I know any of it is actually the truth?
Now I am having to contend with my es-husband and his family thinking I am in trouble criminally!!! That makes it great with custody matters........ I understand contacting third party about debts and that is NOT my issue. MISREPRESENTATION IS MY PROBLEM. I WILL have representaion and my recorded phone message along with written request for proof of this debt I supposedly owe. So maybe I WILL end up paying this debt, but they MAY end up paying for my legal representation in any custody issues that may stem from there SCARE tactics!!!! In addition to the stress and time it took me to figure out that it WAS a collection matter and NOT some false allegation!
This needs to be stopped!!!! Dealing in collections does not mean you do not have to have professionalism and tact! - Denise| 1 replyI keep getting these calls from Cambridge Huxley. I have asked them to stop but they keep coming. They call me on the job. They call me at home. They call people I work with and leave messages. When I ask them to stop the call volume increases. I don't know what to do.
- Caller: Cambridge Huxley
- flashThese people called me at 5:17 am in the morning. You have got to be kidding me.

- stewie griffin replies to C. MorrisScam? Why? did they ask you to pay the bill? on a loan application the person who applies for the loan has to provide reference phone numbers and THATS why they called you.... blame the person that took out the loan
- PamI to have been getting calls from Cambridge & Hucksley, and I told they point blank to send copies of all documents so I can verify this debt was mine and the person was hung up on me. I will never pay an unknown debt without documentation and I still have never received one piece of paper from them and it's been four months that I asked for the documents. And not once in any of the phone messages did they say they were a collection company..
- Caller: Cambridge & Hucksley
- JDawgThese guys kept calling me for a period of about 3 months. I tried to work with the woman that was calling but they do not work with you very well. She could not provide any proof of the debt that i owe. I never received anything in the mail and the calls stopped.
The information I was given about myself (I never gave them any info) could have been obtained from anywhere. The last conversation I had with them I told them that I did not trust them and would not send them anything unless I got some records of my debt and proof that they now owned it.
I then reported them to the BBB and they never responded to my claim but the calls stopped after that.- Caller: Cambridge Huxley & Assoc.

- KenvaBefore you pay that loan make sure the loan was legal to begin with. One of the issues with Cambridge and other debt buyers is that many of the loans they purchased were not legal. Internet loans are not legal in many states and it does not matter if you signed in blood. You were only obligated to pay the principle PROVIDED THAT THEY GIVE YOU A PHYSICAL ADDRESS TO SEND THE PRINCIPLE. Most have have already gotten the principle + by that point and most of the scam artist internet payday loan providers, the sleazy ones who would try to turn a $200 loan into a $900-1200 one with a lot of rollovers and fees, will not have/give a physical address.
Before you pay Cambridge Huxley, or anyone else, check on some things. If you live somewhere like Virginia which requires companies to be licensed to do business than an internet loan was illegal. Rollovers were illegal. Some of these folks can't even report to a credit agency.- Call type: Debt collector
- mdiaz replies to DeniseIf cambridge is harrasing you write them a letter stating you wish not to contacted via phone at work or cell or home and only through mail. and state you will contact the better businness bureu if they do not stop harassing you... i just found that out today!
