Called 3-4 times.Illegal calls

Got a series of phone calls to my cell phone over the last couple of weeks.  It's from a collection agency trying to collect a debt from someone who had my cell phone more than 2 years ago.  I told them to stop calling me and remove my number from all of their call centers.  I went through a similar experience about 6 months ago.  Eventually they stop.  So annoying.

I downloaded an AP for my cell phone called 'Call Filter" when ever I get a telemarketer call or any call from a bill collector or spam, I just open Call Filter and click on add last incoming call, and from that point on whenever that specific phone number calls, mu phone doesn't even ring, just blocks it. I LOVE it.......

I get a call from this number and nobody ever talks when i answer

Received many calls from this number on my cell phone when you answer No one speaks. I do not have anything to this company. He already chosen to ignore all calls because it is time. I'M a bit annoying with these calls.

I keep getting calls at strange hours. This morning at 8 am someome called for my EX husband of over 29 years!! They did not identify themselves and abruptly hung up after I said "29 years".  Calling people at 8 am on a Saturday is crazy.

How do I report this number, they call everyday, three to four times a day, starting at 8:00 am to 9:30 pm this has been going on for months. I don't answer it anymore because there usually is no one at the other end to yell at.

Been called by them numerous times in the past month. Finally I called back and it was Capital One.  I let them know I'm on the do not call list.  They indicated they would removed my number -- see if it works.  Do telemarketers really think cold calling works?  I guess they must have some data stating otherwise, but when is the last time you got a phone call from a credit card company and said "sure sign me up".  I would think it would have the opposite affect, i.e.,  I will never use them as my credit card company.

Yes most deffinately, send them a cease and fussiest letter, BY LAW they have to stop, if not you can sue them for harrasment ESCPECIALLY because you are not even the person they are looking for

Easy to stop this [***]...just do what I do...anytime there's an unknown or out of area just offer a profanity laced tirade...you'll hear a dialtone before you hear a voice!!! works everytime!!!

Stop these calls. They are disruptive.

866-381-0453 is a Phishing SCAM... Just ignore them...or phishtup...them...whatever floats your boat....

I usually do not bother posting online, but this time they got on my nerves which are like pretty sharp and steep if you fall down and want to phishtup the phishing callers...operation valkyrie...

CapOne: Only the customers have to call us or contact us, if they have any issues.

you: yeah that's what I thought and usually when I call you, you ask for last 4 digits of social security

CapOne: For just informing any offers, we may call you but we will not ask for the details of your account.

you: and not put 9 digits

CapOne: Yes, you are right.

CapOne: So, please be careful with that fraud calls.

I was wrong in my previous statement because most of the idiots in CapOne have no idea what other departments phone numbers are.

866-929-5307 is the collection department, which also have 866-929-5307 and 866-929-5306 (they have like seven number or so).

My advice is if you have a card, call the number in back of card or their customer service and see what the f... they want.

I had a dispute over an unauthorized activation of acreadit card and cleared with the fraud department by closing the account and them saying I am not responsible for the payment, the  idiots of collection department still keep calling. Learn to read the notes of the Fraud Department, you collector a...oles.

I am low income I have no interest in capital one nor do I want any other credit cards, My government sponsered phone with low units is blown up daily :(

Get calls from this number everyday on my cell phone .  I have answered the phone because it is my Business phone and they ask for someone named Peter.... No one in my family or employ is named Peter.  I told them several times and the same woman states "oh I am so sorry we will remove your number, and it will take about 3 days" well that was 3 weeks ago and they have called me everyday since and I answered it again today and low and behold... Same woman.. It will be 3 days to remove it... I don't have any accounts with these clowns and no one in my family have accounts with them either..... time to report them.

These [***] have a sh-itload of numbers they use...only 1 way to handle them...when the number comes up on caller ID just start a profanity laced tirade...they hang up pretty quickly!!

They keep calling my cell number. I looked up the number and it is Capitol One. I do not have a credit card with them or have I ever. They call 4 or 5 times a day and never leave a message. When I see the number I don't answer. But it is annoying to receive these calls every day. I am ready to take some legal actions.

Oh, how wrong you are...I'm sorry to say.  Collection agencies can call you SEVEN DAYS A WEEK (holidays included), as long as they do it between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. 'your time'.  And, yes that is Capital One.  It's just one of the many numbers they use for *collection calls*.
