- dD replies to w in pa| 7 repliesThese people are not allowed to call your cell phone. This number is a phishing scam. I received a call from this number this morning claiming that they were "Capitol One" I'd also received calls from the same number, when they claimed to be an Insurance Company. It's a Phishing scam attempting to get private information.
- noone| 1 replyThey called I called back, no answer, just went to the dead zone on its own..no one ever answered it..what I don't like is getting these strange calls and they attempt to get into your answering machine..they call and sometimes I hear the answer machine ask for the password to the machine to retrieve my messages...They can't do that legally can they?
- EdThis is a computer robot, that randomly dials numbers. I also got calls from 866-821-3645, and 205 area codes, and others. You can't do much. There are tactics you can use to give them the slip for a little while. Sad state of affairs. Just turn your phone off, use mute mode, get a secret second cheapo phone (pre-paid), phone card and use public phones or have no phones at all.
- Ed replies to nooneNot legal, just leave the default message or no message, and change your code.
- ABC| 1 replyTired of the calls from this number. How do I make it stop?
- Call type: Debt collector
- al replies to ABCSimple...Invest $5.40 in a certified, signature return requested letter telling them, as well as any and all associates and or parties representing them, to cease and desist all telephone contact for any and all reasons with your telephone number. By law they must cease and desist, and every violation from the date of their signature on the return notice earns you around $1000.00 each with a simple civil law suit.
- al replies to Dennis1022Dennis, I would recommend that you talk to them at least once to find out what they want and quite possible stop the redundant calling. With Capital One you never know that they may be up to. They could be offering you a new deal or adviing you that you are in violation of their contract in some way, thereby trying to stick on some excessive charges. These people are ones to be wary of and not do business with if there is a viable alternative.
- dan replies to MaryMary, Send them a Certified/signature return requested ($5.40 usps) letter telling them to cease and desist all calls. They have to abide or you can sue them and earn $1,000.00 per violation. Dont take that crap off of those low lifes.
- JoBu replies to concerned| 5 repliesGot a phone call from this number over the last couple of days on two different numbers, only one of which is listed as a contact number . Called them back early on he morning of Jul 23, and explained to them that I had a payment plan worked out with them and to only use the phone number listed . I was told that it would be taken care of . Got a call afternoon of Jul 23 on the unlisted number and they wanted to know where the payment was . I told them once again that I had a payment plan worked out, and my next payment wasn't do until the 2nd of August . This is getting frustrating . Any suggestions ?

- EnoughI am receiving 6-8 calls a day! When I finally do answer the phone because I have had enough of the ringing there is noone there! I have an elderly Mother in law who lives here with me and this constant version of harrassment is driving her crazy! In addition, I have family who live overseas so I try to answer the phone all the time thinking it is them. I have had enough and am at my wits end! I want this crap to stop!
I have told them to take me off their calling list(harrassment list) several times but they do not stop. Some calls are identified as Capitol One and others are identified as Unknown!- Caller: ? Capitol One

- JdSIt is NOT Capital One. I never had any dealings with Capital One, yet I keep getting calls from this number. It is some scam. If you have a Capital One account, DON'T GIVE ANY DETAILS ABOUT YOUR ACCOUNT TO THESE SCAMMERS.

- Caller: Capital one
- Alec BalledwinIt is a third-party collections group that capital one uses to get their money. I owed on a credit card 2 years ago and finally paid it off-however, for about 7 months I was unemployed and received these calls 7-10 times a day due to my inability to pay exactly on time. I wish Alec Baldwin would tell you about this in those hillarious commercials...
