This 877-683-8938 called my home landline, Caller ID said Toll Free Call. They left a Voice Message asking for Location and Whereabouts for a James Purcell ... to call them back at 877-683-8938.    They did not say who they are with, just stated by LAW they can call asking for James Purcell location and whereabouts.  Wanted me to call, even if I had no information.  Ha!    These   scams just keep coming, daily!.

Received a voicemail stating they were looking for me (by my maiden name which I haven't used in 18 years - clue number one that this was something REALLY old).  Same thing as the other person stated, where the message said that by law they were looking for my whereabouts.  Decided to call and see what it was.  They were calling about an old credit card I defaulted on when I was 19 (30 years ago!!!) Wow.  I worked through a service a few years later to pay off all of my debt in my early twenties although I no longer have those records.  Anyway, he stated that they were pulling the binding contract I signed and checking the legal recourse for my state, but asked if I wanted to make arrangements to handle the debt in the meantime. LOL.  No thanks.  I'm sure I settled on it long ago and I'm positive there is no copy/ legal recourse 30 years later.   So basically they are bottom-feeder collections folks buying old information and trying to scare people in to paying by throwing around subtle threats of legal action.  I really kind of laughed when I said, umm no thanks.

Called a few time mostly left no messages but when they did it was same as above asking regarding whereabouts of a certain person etc etc.
clearly scam/spam company or persons. When researched further they don't even have BBB accreditation and have an Alert placed on them for failing to produce documents proving their even a legitimate business and able function in the capacity which they are. BEWARE!

FMR is a known debt scammer in Western New York the #1 capital of the world for crooks pretending to be debt collectors.

Also known as World Wide Processing Group LLC and they are located at 5817 South Park Ave, Hamburg NY 14075 and have a PO Box 2474 Blasdell NY 14219. The owners name is Frank Ungaro and the Director of Operations is Nick Curtis.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

Received a call saying my husband owed $65 . Scam trying to get personal information.

Automated caller looking for info as far as where I am. Called numerous times in last 3 days from all different phone #s. They called my cell, home # & a distant friends #. Always saying same threat. They have the right to search for me and will call all resources connected to me.
They dont say their name & doesn't say debt collection. Approximately 10 calls so far. I have no debt. I called the # back, automated system answered FMR.
