I have been getting phone calls from 888-748-4966 all day today. Since it is not in my white list, i just let it ring.

Who is this and why do they call continuously..

stupidly answered this one at 921AM on Sunday. 1st I said 'hello' then heard a phone ring, then this guy stupidly says 'hello' as if I called him. Then he says ' keetan feetos?' and I said who the hell is keeton feetos and he said 'not hell, m'am, vidos' and I said who the f... is vidos and he hung up.

i keep getting the call all day seven days a week. won't answer and they (whoever they are) won't leave msg. it is now a battle of wills

I received a call from this number for the first time today, I do not have a Capital One credit card and never have. Everyone should be aware that this is a attempt to steal you identity.
My ex-husbands girlfriend stole my adult daughters identity and then attempted to get information about my second daughter. The caller claimed to be from Sears and said there was a problem with the younger ones account. She has never had a Sears account and Sears denied the call.
People need to call Capital One and tell them. They will investigate. You might be saving someone a large sum of money by reporting it, but also you might be saving someone a lot of time and energy by reporting it to Capital One. It is really hard to get fraudulent accounts off your credit report..

I got several calls, asking for my social security number, and account for capital one.  I DO NOT have a capital one account, so i knew this was a SCAM.  I then called the real capital one, reported the number, and was told that it IS NOT AFFILIATED WITH THE REAL CAPITAL ONE.  This is a scam, DO NOT give out ANY information.

Don't expect that to last, just sayin'

This number keeps calling me at all hours of the day.

The calls started about 4 weeks ago about 15 calls a day. Finally I got someone to agree to stop calling and that lasted about 2 weeks. Now they are calling again every hour and I keep telling them that Huang doesn't live here. He doesn't want to pay his bill and to stop calling me. They all say they are sorry and will remove me from the list, but the very next hour I get another call.

its a debt collector - they call here all the time looking for my mom.  I tell them they have the wrong number but they keep calling (guess they think I am lying).

My mom and I have been getting these phone calls from this company for about 3 days now. It started 8 am on Friday, August 20th 2010. Our cells kept ringing every 30 minutes from this company. It's a bogus collection company.

My mom gave me a dinner bell to use the next time that my cell went off. Last night (Sat. Aug 21st) around 8.21 pm it went off. I answered and rang that bell as hard and loud as I could. Which if any of y'all know, a metal dinner bell is similar to a hand held school bell from the pioneer days.

Anyways, Mom's solution worked! I have not received any more phone calls from that bogus company. I suggest to get a loud noise maker: air horn, loud toy, something obnoxious and when the cell goes off with that number, then accept and play the toy really loud. It's worked for me.

you have to wait a minute for the person on the other line to pick.First time I didnt wait long enough and hung up too quickly. They will ask you if you know the person who had your number previously and when you tell them no they will take you off their call list. They also did a follow up call just to make sure I was off the list after that I havent heard from them since.

Capital One is horrible.  I did not answer their calls and they called my Aunt, Parents and Brother to try to find me.  HELLO.  NOw I just give my cell phone number, add them as a contact and set to NO RING for that contact.  They can call as much as they want now.

keeps calling my house, never anwsered because i don't want to be hasseled. I read about this number on line and want them to stop calling me.

I have gotten numerous calls from this number.  They are looking for my brother whom I have not spoken to in 14 years.  I have told them time and time again that he does not live here and he has never lived here. The calls come every 2 to 4 hours until someone answers the phone.  I have asked them 4 times now to remove my phone number from they call list.  I have been told that they will.  I guess that we will see what happens.  I am going to report them to the FTC.

They called asking for some other person. I told them more than once that person was not at this number, but they keep calling. So...I made a "wrong number/ignore" entry on my phone with the ringer set to "none" So when they call it doesn't even ring. And if they call from a different number I'll add that, too.  :-)

For the past 2 weeks I have received between 10-12 calls a day starting at 7:50 am

I don't have a capitol one card either.  They keep calling me.  I called them.  They asked for my name and I gave them my name.  They said they were trying to reach someone I had never heard of and asked what # they had been calling so they could take it off their list.  Makes no sense....if they knew who they were calling...why don't they know the # they were calling?  I hung up.

We have been getting calls, too. Starting at 8:30am. They do not respond when we answer. I returned the call this morning and asked them to remove our number. They said our number was in reference to Edwin WIlliams... and asked if I know him. I've never heard of that person, and told them that. They politely told me my number would be removed in 1-3 business days.
