They left no message. I tried calling it back, but it didn't even connect. Reported to the DNCR. I'll be watching for them and will have some fun.

This number just came up on my caller id.  It said Pensacola,FL 850-473-1276.  When I answered I just heard a message about lowering my credit card int. rate.  But since I nor my husband have any credit cards I thought that to be strange.  I pressed 2 to be removed from there call list.  We will see where that one goes.  I googled the number and boy there sure are a lot of people getting these calls.  BEWARE!

Called me also, I did some research.  These guys are a scam, just that simple.

An automated message says hurry to lower interest rates final offer press 1 for lower rates or press 2 to end contract(can't remember exact wording, sounds very familiar to this Pensacola,FL calls).  I hung up because there was no company name and I had not sollicited any financial changes.

People getting these calls who want to help put a stop to them should go to the web site www.heatherwithaccountservices.com to get the info on the real identities of the criminals behind this scam and the agencies to report them to using this info.  Reporting them using the fake names they give out (Card Services, Financial Services, etc.) or the fake phone numbers that they illegally cause to show up on your Caller ID does little good.


The most likely one of the several criminal telemarketers behind this scam is American Debt Negotiators, and you can get the information about them and the links of the agencies to report them to at the above web site.  They also should be reported to the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services (ADN is based in Florida, and this is the agency that polices telemarketers) and your own state attorneys general office.

i haven't looked into direct tv, but i did apply for a credit card that has turned out to be a complete scam.  they charge 'interest as CASH ADVANCE' and BILL ME FOR IT! i also get solicitations via mail (CONSTANTLY!) asking me to sign up for services ranging from account protection to car washes -- where they can charge my card for unbelievable amounts without contacting me again (all in VERY fine print).  i did it to have an emergency card, used it once -- paid it off and am closing it down!  anyone else open a bad credit card recently??  i figured it might be someone offering more of the same -- since i seem to be the 'sucker.' they call every day and it's an american answering the 1 or 2.  they get ugly when you tell them you're on teh dnc registry and just hang up.  one day, they said 'we'll call you tomorrow.'  it's a computer program that allows this, i've had calls from india all the time that say they are in the u.s.  ask them what the capital of the state the phone says they are calling from and they don't have a clue.

I also recieved a call from that number and when I told the guy that he woke up my three month old and I wanted to know if they have to recongnize the do not call  list he hung up. I was furious when I also got the phoney dissconnect recording. If they can call our home we should be able to return that call!!!!!!!

These call need to stop.  They should be sued for harrassment

Recording said for lower interest rate on credit cards press 1.I did a lady came on and started asking questions she ask my name and i  told her you called me who am i? she said miss ? I said yes. she ask more questions and I said you tell me about you and i'll tell you about me I work for the LAW ENFORSEMENT this way i'll know your not scaming me and you'll know i'm not scaming you SHE HUNG UP !!so i think it's safe to say it was a SCAM!!

I'm on the national do not call list but still receive calls from (850)473-1276 (caller id says PENSACOLA, FL).  Most of the time it is a recorded message. Is there a way to stop these calls?

At 11am on Aug 25, 2008 I received a call from this number.  There was nobody on the other end of the line.

NUMBER WAS MY PRIVATE LINE PHONE, DAMMIT!! I DON'T GIVE MY NUMBER OUT TO ANYONE BUT FRIENDS & FAMILY. HOW DO THESE FOLKS GET THEIR LEADS???!!!! I PICKED UP ON THE CALLER, AN AUTO-DIALER RECORDED MSG. SAID TO "PRESS 1 IF YOU WANT TO SPK W/ A REP, OR 2 IF YOU WANTED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE LIST!! I PRESSED * 5 TIMES RAPIDLY, THEM HUNG UP. DON'T KNOW WHAT IT DID TO THEIR SYSTEM, BUT HAVEN'T GOTTEN ANY MORE CALLS FROM THEM.

I too receive calls from this number.  Of course I dont answer, and they never leave a message

Yea I lived in Michigan my whole life, then moved to Pensacola for a couple of years for a band that I used to be in. Then came home after all that was over. And yesterday, the 26th of August 2008, at around 3:16 p.m. (go figure) haha, I was like wow. My old band must be calling me. Sure enough its this [***] scam. I was so pissed. They call a lot. But from other areas besides Florida. They all sound alike though. I hate these [***]. The number was 850-473-1276. I curse them all the time like I'm talking, then just hang up. Stupid crap wastin my time. I hope they shove their phones where the sun doesnt shine. I hate phones as it is.

I was on a long distance phone call from a friend in New Zeeland, so I did not take the call that showed up as 1-850-473-1276 on my Caller ID. I decided to call them back when I was finished with my call. When I called the number I got an intercept recording saying the number was disconnected, no longer in service. How it showed up on my caller ID is a concern to me. I found this 800notes.com site when I searched the number on google. I waited 3 minutes to talk with a person

I got this number today - stated they could lower my credit card interest; when I told them I had no credit cards they rudely hung up.

That's funny, because as of February 2008, "numbers placed on the National Do Not Call Registry will remain on it permanently due to the Do-Not-Call Improvement Act of 2007".  Looks like she had no idea what she was talking about.
