I just had the samething happen where they called and told me they were issuing a warrant if i didn't pay $2000 today. When Stephanie Grace frist called she identified herslef as an investigator w Madison County Investigation Divisions. When i asked what it was for she said check fruad on a pay day loan ( that i thought i had paid off). I asked what company and she said it so fast i couldn't understand her. then iasked for her number so i could call her back bc i was at work. when i did it was Raffino, Garrison & McKoy Lawfirm. I asked to speak w her supervisor bc she was extrmemly rude and i couldhardly understand her bc she was talking so fast and was told she didn't have one. I hung up and called my local sheriff's office gave them the info bc they are the Madison County Sherriff's office. I dpoke w dispatch and they were going to send the info to an investigator. but i was told that it is probably a scam

Their automated message wanted to know if anyone at this phone number knows my brother.  Press 1 if "Yes."  Of course, I hung up.

GOT A CALL WHICH I DID NOT ANSWER AND THE LADY LEFT A MESSAGE SAID SOMETHING WAS HANDED TO HER IN HER OFFICE AND SHE WANTS TO SPEAK WITH BEFORE THE CHARGES ARE SENT IN!! IVE WORKED IN COLLECTIONS FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND HER THREAT WAS WORTHLESS! IT'S SAD THAT THEY EVEN USE THE TACTIC OF POLICE CHARGES IN THE EFFORT TO COLLECT. WHEN HAVE THE POLICE HAD SOMEONE CALL TO WARN YOU THAT THEIR COMING TO GET YOU! REALLY! LMAO SMH....

I received a call today and sent them money and they were suppose to send me a email confirmation and I didn't receive anything.

They called me today from 1-888-211-7690.  This time alleging criminal complaint!  They left message, I'm blocking this number, too.

WRONG COMPANY.. THAT ISN'T THE NAME OF THE COMPANY YOU ARE RESEARCHING. LOL

I AM A DEBT COLLECTOR.. AND THESE PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN OUT LOANS AND REFUSE TO PAY THEM BACK. iT IS BREACH OF THE CONTRACT AND FRAUD WITH THE FDIC LAW AND BASED ON THE CONTRACT SIGNED. WE HAVE VALID REASON TO COLLECT ON THIS! GET OVER IT AND PAY YOUR DEBT OR DAMAGES CAN BE BROUGHT AGAINST THEM.. SMH.. BROKE AND STILL DON'T WANT TO PAY YOUR BILLS

You're just a fraud. We deal with you scum-bags every day. Stop boring us. If you post again I will be explaining to the entire world as to why you're a fraud, what led you to be a fraud & why your wife is more enamored of your neighbors goat than she is of you. For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group.  Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own.  In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.  

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot) or Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station). They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names

I received a phone call from 678-368-4233, but my cell phone said 844-205-7010 on June 17, 2014. They left a message for my ex-husband from 25 years ago.  I called them back to remove my phone # as his contact and they said they had me as a co-signer on his online lender loan of $1500.00 from Titum LLC.  I spoke with a Brian Howard who said he was an investigator for Buhram & assoc State of Georgia legal dept.  He had ALL MY personal information already.  They had my SS#, address, the vehicle I was driving and loan info, employment history.  They wanted $400.00 restitution payment on my credit card to clear my name or they would have me arrested and transported to Georgia where I would be held until my December 18, 2014 court date.  He said he hoped I did not have any young children, as this would affect them if I were taken away. He said they had warrants for my and my ex-husband and would be sending police to my place of work or home and were tracing our current phone call.  I hung up with them and contacted my lawyer and filed a local police report.  What was scary for me was how much personal information they had.  I had to get fraud protection, alert all my banks and credit card providers, change all my passwords and contact credit reporting agencies to freeze anyone from using my info. for the next 7 years.  Also my local police dept had no warrants on either of us.  Lawyer said this was a scam.  I am also filing a report with the Federal Trade Commission and anyone else I need to.  This was scary at first, now I just want them stopped and to protect my identity.  They are still calling also.
