You do not have to be in trouble to be harassed as several people have noted.  Once they get some idea about you, right or wrong, they shake it like a terrier with a rat.  Don't make assumptions - people are here due to the CALL, not due to their credit issues.

You ASSUME what banks have done - outside of laundering drug money that has never been punished in criminal courts - is illegal.  While most Americans were dozing away during the 80s and 90s, banks were making what they did LEGAL.

It's not about the creditors here.  It's about how the debt is being collected. Just google this firm and see what comes up.  They don't have the right to harass people.

One of my sons is receiving calls repeatedly and too early in the morning.  Their latest rotten trick is to make their number show up on caller ID as 11800-684-8429, which can not be blocked by Xfinity Voice.  They will not give me the name of their company, and hang up when I ask.  They say they are calling my son about a personal business matter.  I plan to report them to FTC, State AG's office, and BBB.

LOL Did you seriously claim that debt collectors are trying to con people out of their money?  But yet it   seems that many people on here are the ones that are looking to evade paying their debt.  It isn't the debt collector trying to con people but the people who are trying to con the companies they owe.  Yes, they are annoying.  But so are the slackers that can't be bothered to pay their bills.  If people actually paid their bills instead of trying to steal (and yes, it's stealing because they took something without paying for it) then there would be no need for debt collectors.  Think about it.

Like others already listed on here, we receive 3-4 calls per day from this number, no message, no nothing.  On the plus-side, it is a fairly useful alarm clock for 8:10am, 1:30pm, 5:00pm, 7:00pm.  Yeah.... NOT!!

This number keeps calling, claiming  to be from Capital One about my credit card, but I don't even have a card with them. Asked where the person was they were trying to contact, they told me California, but I live in Florida. They said they were transferring my call to the fraud department, but then the line went dead. I called Capital One, who claimed to have no knowledge of the 800 number that was calling me.

These people call more than 5-7 times a day - try more like 15.  They have started as early as 7:00 am EST and have even called past 9:00 PM!  AND even on Sunday's!  They never leave a meassage.  Never come to the phone if answered.  They suck!  I am going to have to change my number just to get away from these IDIOTS!
