- kcThe call came from a blocked number and the lady said they were calling to verify location (she never asked about the address) to deliver documents from an issuing agent. If I wanted more information I could call 8777569997. I could divert the delivery of the documents from the issuing agent if I called the number for more information. I called the number and the guy that answered said corporate office. No company name given. They won't be getting any info from me. My mother just got scammed on something similar. The police reports have been filed...

- ShillKillFor at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.
Some of the people they are calling do not owe a debt. Others they are calling have already settled their debt with the organization who owns the accounts. Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group. Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own. In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.
Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot) or Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station). They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names (and there are many others, and they seem to create new ones daily). They will normally answer the call back number as “Investigations”
Reynolds, Hill, and Associates
Berkley and Associates
Kaufmann and Associates
Sanderson Blaine & Associates
Blaine and Associates
McKenzie Reid Associates
Kennedy, Kline, & Associates
Nationwide Asset and Recovery
Piedmont Investigations and Procurement
Raffino, Garrison, & McCoy
Greenman, Schwartz & Associates
McCoy Law Group
Salem Associates
Reynolds and Associates
Here is a set of links to a variety of threads on this forum that document this group and its behavior. They include the experiences of victims as well as a former employee or two that quit within a week of finding out exactly what was going on. They also include responses from consumer advocates and people who are really criminal justice professionals advising victims of what to do

- Rude1 replies to Anthony Williams| 2 repliesIf you're company is legitimate then why are you calling employers and saying it's a legal matter if the "person who owes" does not have their attorney or themselves call you that they are going to be 1. Arrested or 2. After the person confirms they are not the one, you call back weeks later with the same crap under a different name. I have kept records each time your company or better yet this phone number and other associating phone numbers called my business looking for one of my employees and each time someone has called I press them to give me the name of the organization and they refuse. I have reported this to my attorney and have reported all your numbers to the Nat'l Do Not Call list. I think if someone does not owe you anything and you keep calling under the guise of a debt. You're nothing more than a solicitor trying to sell them something.
- Had_Enough_Of_Scam_Calls replies to Anthony WilliamsSir, if your legitimate address this. 1. How come when you call someone you don't say "May I speak to so and so, my name is "Tell your real name" and I represent "Tell the real name of your business" and state the nature of your call. Your company is so full of crap, that you leave ominous messages with employers trying to freak out the employer or the debtor. If your so legit, how come you don't simply mail your legal papers to the people you claim owe you? I think its funny when they call me. When I press them they usually hang up on me. What a farce. It does not matter how many times you post a message saying how "legitimate" your organization is. Unless you act like a real legitimate organization instead of playing on the phone to intimidate people I will not oblige the caller. If I owe debts, I pay them. I've done so for years. But please do not call me about a debt 25 years ago that I know for a fact that I've paid and tell me that I still owe it! Seriously! I was born at night but not last night. LOL
- CWG40 replies to Anthony Williams| 3 repliesOdd. I just checked it and it says page is not available.
- CWG40 replies to anonMaloy Brando!? Jesus H. Christ! Can't these guys come up with more creative names? Marlon Brando, the now-deceased actor, played Terry Malloy the would be prize fighter in "On the Waterfront", back in the 1950s. Classic film. I guess debt scammers like classic films.
This Westfield group is a collection of kitchen-table scammers with little in the way of brains. How do they make any money? - CWG40 replies to Anthony Williams| 5 repliesOK, I did just what you said. Here's what the state has:

- CWG40 replies to CWG40| 3 repliesGoogle street view shows the location as a one-story industrial/commercial complex. Westfield is supposedly in Unit R. I'm of the opinion that this group rents a back-room from an existing frontage-style business and hides in plaint site so to speak. If you are going to sue them, good luck trying to locate this Annie Nelson.
Good luck trying to actually find the scammers in the first place. - Tamianth replies to CWG40I just took a look at the street view.. the address given appears to be that of a restauranteur - signs not exactly too clear, but it sure doesn't say WESTFIELD PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT INC.
