Just had a phone call from this number! I have no clue who it is?!?! When I called it back it said the phone call would be recorded. Then a lady answered and said Investigations! That was all she said! Anyone else getting calls from this number????

Scammers pretending to be collection agent.

I just got a call and had the same experience you guys are. After connecting and telling the lady I didn't know the person they were asking about, she hung up on me. Classy stuff...

Yeah I got a call from this number and she was very secretive about who they are. I told her whoever she was looking for she had the wrong number. case closed

this phone number call and said I was a defendant and they are trying to get a hold of me.  they could"nt even say my name
right and there was a lot of noise in the back round.  

a recording, male voice,  requesting where about of a person, if i knew this person...no... hanged up

They called me at 5:27Pm EST from Fraud and Investigation Unit (Investigator White) and left a msg on my answering machine about some "felony" charges and that she need to verify my employment and income. She said by law I am required to call and give them this information. She had a super attitude and said if I don't reply and call this number: 1-678-256-3033 I forfeit all my rights etc. She ended the call as in: "Miss xxx, you have been officially notified and good luck to your court case".

I was like woaa what, and called both numbers, first number went onto an answering machine which said "management", second one as well, but had a recording of a Investigator Mike Smith to leave phone, case #. I left a msg, saying I don't know why he called me ( I know shouldn't have done this), but I think I will just block both numbers.
But this really scared me, that woman on my voice mail sounded very official.
Scary stuff, so glad I found this site!

This happened to me yesterday, message that also said investigations from phone #678-496-3462, and to call back before charges are filed, the lady did say my name on message but was slow saying it. When I called back I have # they called and didn't find info so I gave case # and it belong to someone guy I didn't know, she said okay I will remove and hung up...I too was scared.

I got the same call saying I'd be arrested for fraud about a loan I got 4 years ago. She threatened me very rude said in 48 hrs I'd be arrested some investigating firm called holland and dencie associates r something. Investigator kiersten hall told me call her back at 678-391-4967. So strange never received anything from the in mail so on and so forth. Freakin out. Called my local sheriff dept.

For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Some of the people they are calling do not owe a debt.  Others they are calling have already settled their debt with the organization who owns the accounts. Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group.  Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own.  In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.  

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot) or Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station or a Peachtree Road Address). They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names (and there are many others, and they seem to create new ones daily).  They will normally answer the call back number as “Investigations”
