For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Some of the people they are calling do not owe a debt.  Others they are calling have already settled their debt with the organization who owns the accounts. Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group.  Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own.  In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.  

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot) or Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station or a Peachtree Road Address). They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names (and there are many others, and they seem to create new ones daily).  They will normally answer the call back number as “Investigations”

Harassing phone calls

I received a call today, as did my boyfriend (with whom I live with) and my ex husband.  The first time my boyfriend answered the phone it was an automated type voice asking if I lived there...him not knowing any better said yes...got hung up on.  he called back 2 more times, got hung up on one more time and the third time he called back he got a lady Jessica Sutton - who in his opinion was apauld that he was being treated like that and would only tell him that there was an urgent matter that she needed to talk to me about by 6pm est.....funny that at the same time they were calling the house phone, they were calling my cell phone of which I didn't answer....30 mins later my ex-husband called me giving me the same information that my boyfriend gave me - except the person would not give him their name just indicated that anyone that answered the phone could help me....I wen and searched both phone numbers and was interested to find that these people are calling many many people....so I decided to call back - using my cell phone...they needed me to verify my last four numbers of my ss# and my DOB before he could go get the file from the attorney desk...when I asked his name and company he told me Tony Davis with Bailey and Rowe...I then hung up....I do recall an old payday loan that was never paid from like 2008/2009 or 2010 (I can't remember the exact date/year) so my only concern at this point is.....because I probably do owe this debt...can they legally do anything like what I have seen described on here and other blogs regarding similar calls......Annoyed at the same time that they got my ex-husband involved...

I got a call on may 27th from 855-967-6268 the lady on my voice mail said her name is was Nicole smith and i need to call her back before they placed a summers for me at home or work... We Miss smith im not going to call you back as this is a scam for thousands of dollars from me and you are not going to get it.. They have not called me since then and they only call at the end of the month because they only have like 2 days to collect this. I have had calls like this before and fell for it well not this time let them summon me I have the voice mail still

I received a call saying I had an electronic debit for some amount over $300.00 plus fees!  I never do anything electronically ever, this is a scam!!! .

I received a call from the number 855-967-6268 . They said the are trying to collect a debt from a cash advance took out in 2008. I returned there call after I goggled there number . I new it was a fraud when I called them . Now I call them back every half hour . Its funny as [***] , if you tell them that this call is being recorded they hang up ...lol

this company called and said they would put me in jail and that they would send a police officer to my home if i didn't take care of this matter of 900.00 i told them i had no insurance or that i did not work they said they worked for spring-view hospital in Marion co ky and that i had committed faud  

I got from this number saying I owe on a pay day loan n if I don't pay I will go to jail

someone called me from this number. they asked me for personal information.  i asked them to verifiy where they got this info before i would confirm their questions.  he refused. instead he threaten to contact my family and they them things.  i explained because of identiity theft i would not verify any thing.

they are calling themselves Bloom -n- Smith LLC as well now I have 7 different # but there are tons more so add them to the list
