this number now appears on you phone telling you to call 1-855-948-4460 with some case number if you know any information about a certain people.   do not answer  this is a scam  scam   scam.  everyone has blocked  old number the 8559484460 so now trying to get you to answer or call that scam number.

I receive call from the same phone asking for a person and asked you to call phone number with case number given.  Tell you if you know the whereabouts of the person to pass the message on to them.  There is too many SCAMS going on in this world now days.  Do not return this call!  I pray that some how God put a stop to people that SCAMING other people.  It is sickening!  

For at least the last year, an illegal group of debt collectors have been terrorizing consumers, their family, friends, and employees threatening to arrest the individual of an unpaid loan or other debt (their generally don't even owe). Be aware debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter, and you can't be arrested. They threaten a warrant if the victim does not pay a sum of money by the credit card over the phone.

Some of the people they are calling do not owe a debt.  Others they are calling have already settled their debt with the organization who owns the accounts. Even if you do owe a debt, do not be deceived by the actions of this group.  Many of the accounts they are attempting to collect they do not own.  In other words, if you pay these people, that is not going to clear your debt with its rightful owner.  

Although when pressed the callers give the victim an address in Columbia South Carolina (usually a vacant lot),  Atlanta GA (often a parking lot near the bus station or a Peachtree Road Address) or Phoenix AZ.  They are actually out of the Charlotte North Carolina area. The scammers are using the following business names (and there are many others, and they seem to create new ones daily).  They will normally answer the call back number as “Investigations”.  They often call people with a recording claiming they are looking for a "defendant"

This co continusely calls our home asking for a Douglas Burns.
My father and I do not know this person.
This has been an on going situation for over a yr. We had our previous ph no changed to the one we have now that they keep calling.

I have been receiving a lot of these calls asking for me. They will not give me any information as to the original debt holder if there is one. I have now blocked them from calling me.

Thanks for the information! I have been receiving these calls on my cell and at work. Getting pretty old and very aggravating!! They even have called my family members!! It's just ridiculous that they can get away with this crap!! They need to GET CAUGHT!!!!!!!

This number calls and asks for person that doesn't live here. This is silly and I am not answering number anymore.

I have been getting these harassing calls for almost a year.  The numbers are not always the same (Arizona, Wasington State, etc) and they always say the same thing for which I ignore them on my cell phone....They have also started calling my ex-husband who happens to be stupid enough to call them back and tries to get information out of them - even though I have told him they are scammers he won't ignore the calls - they even call my current boyfriend - who is getting pissed and thinking I am running from the law - I have blocked the numbers on his home phone  I just want these calls to stop and want to know

1.  how do I get them to stop calling my ex-husband
2.  how do I get them to stop calling my current boyfriend
3.  how do I block them on my cell phone (have tried free apps but the limit the number of phone numbers I can add and I will not pay to have the apps)

If you use an android, you can use free Comodo Mobile Security available at the play store and other sites. I have numerous numbers on a list that I created called spam & Comodo blocks them & I never know they call.
These idiot's call my home number looking for various people who "I guess" had this number before I did. When I moved I had to switch my home number because according to Verizon "it's in a different switched network" aka the exchange was different. So, I never had this problem before with my old number of 20 years, and now every time the phone rings it's collection agencies etc looking for whom ever. Really tired of this & the fact that they cannot be stopped is frustrating.
